    Default Televised poker

I swear, every time I turned on the TV over the weekend there was poker on - often on more than one channel. Poker from Vegas, European poker, celebrity poker.

It surprises me. When this current poker craze broke out, I thought it would be a flavor-of-the-month kind of thing that would fizzle pretty quickly. I like poker and have played for decades but, after an initial fascination with the TV product (which lasted probably 2 days), it got relegated to something to flip to during the commercials of what I'm really watching.

But obviously someone is watching. How much do you watch this stuff?

If you want to learn how to play poker with any reasonable skill then watching TV poker is a must. Watching it on the TV and seeing how people play particular hands is real good information.

I think the quality will continue to get better, the good coverage will stick around long term, but is still popular enough that you will get some crap coverage. ESPN and NBC have been the best so far IMO.

how long is the WSOP scheduled to be aired on espn anyways. with the poker craze going on nowadays, NBC would probly try and make a run at broadcasting it.
