Default Pros and cons of betting in USD ?

I live in USA, but am curious how non-USA folks choose their currency to bet with, in particular.. Canadians.

Do you get nailed with currency conversion fees ?

Is your neteller only able to be set to one currency ? Every book takes USD, to my knowledge, convenient to one living in the states !

Do get raped with fees, and such ?

A canadian beats the Prick for $100, what does he get, $100 canadian, US, USD converted to Canadian ?

To me betting in straight USD seems valuable, what happens to the rest of you'se guys ? I've seen Europeans state that they bet in USD.

I don't get the whole deal to be honest ! I'd like to learn more about this !

I live in the UK & really the only way to go is a Neteller A/C in $. As far as I know you are only allowed 1 Neteller A/c.

I used a CC once & got hammered on the exchange rate

If your books take Neteller there isnt any reason to swap currencies. Right?

I am Canadian and my Neteller account and all my betting accounts are in USD.

The only time I get hit up on conversion fees is when I pull money from Neteller into my CDN dollar bank account. The fees actually aren't too bad, all things considered.

If I deposited from my bank to my Neteller there would be conversion fees but it's been a long time since I had to do that.

It better be in USD or someone is going down.

When I was first starting out years ago I opened a bunch of accounts in Canadian dollars but I learned over time to use Neteller and have everything in USD. It just works best.

Unfortunately my Stan James account is in Canadian because they don't take Neteller and they make me use the currency of my CC. But I don't use it much these days anyway.

I'll tell you what I would appreciate though. If someone could do something to strengthen the US dollar. All my offshore funds seem to get less valuable every week.

So if someone gets a spare minute and could quickly fix that up, I'd appreciate it.

im using USD too while living in Europe, as Santo says: to keep things simple.
Its the standard at most bookies.
I think im paying 1.9% in fees when taking out money with the Neteller DC, for the convertion USD - Canadian Dollar - and finally Euros

I think it costs me a little more by wire... I was getting £1 for $1.79 on mt last withdraw, when I should have got £1 for each $1.74.
