Colin Cowherd
Anyone listen to his podcast today? Handicaps a few games and talks about what games he likes. He said he took Florida to cover the spread and said it was the biggest steal on the board this week.

I've never kept a record but he does give his fair share of winners, if I had to use Cowherd or Lang I'd use Cowherd every time.

He had a weekend last year where he picked three games and they weren't easy games either, nothing bigger than a 5 or 6 point spread and he got all 3 right after saying he was having a decent bet. He lived in Vegas for a while and has always said if he'd stayed there he would have become a degenerate. I'm not saying he's fantastic, for all I know he was down last year but the thing with him is, if he likes something he'll tell you andtell you why.

Tony Bruno, for a radio guy, has always been a good against the spread picker. Unfortunately, he has trouble holding a job...

I followed him last yr and he broke even for the yr. That was about it nothing major with his picks. I use to listen to him religiously last yr but didn't impress me with his picks that much.

Ryan,
There are 14 MLB games today. Average game 3 hours. It would take 42 hours to watch every single MLB game from today. And tomorrow comes around pretty fast...
Now that we've established that you are NOT watching every single major league baseball game every day because you don't have more than 24 hours in your day...
Do you mean you watch several games in their entirety each day? Do you mean you have MLB Extra Innings and switch back and forth between all the games during commercials? Do you mean you never miss Baseball Tonight on ESPN? Do you mean study the box scores from each game the next day in USA Today?

Sharp post Doc, but I think you'll find Cowherd doesn't bet bases. The reason I would give Cowhered a bit of time is because I clearly remember him saying before the season last year that Hawaii were his sleeper for a bowl game.

mlb game mix shows every game, at once
east coast games end, then west coast begins
plus i dont have to watch shitty pirates or royals games bc they usually take the bad games out of game mix
so yes, i watch them all, everyday

I think he also said Tennessee was going to roll UCLA. "vegas has this one all wrong"
He is as good as any talk show host. Nothing special...but he can defend his view.

Ryan doesn't have to watch a game to pick losers. He picked the Cubs to lose today because Haren didn't deserve -240. Solid capping skills.

I'm impressed. The thing with Cowhered is, although he's a big mouth he doesn't try and say he's the best in the world at what he's doing and he doesn't give a fukk whether you listen to what he's saying, he tells you what he's gonna play and that's it.

His show is on TV now, on ESPNU. They just debuted on there a few days ago. One of the guys on his staff spins the wheel. I saw the guy spinning it so he really is just giving his take straight off the top of his head. Although I'm sure he's done a lot of research.

Ahh ok. However he does it it's pretty impressive because if he went 0-5 for a couple of week he'd get ripped to bits so you've gotta give credit where credit is due.
