Well...I can't compete with these guys scores...but my first job out of residency was in a small town ER...I worked 6PM-6AM. At the end of the shift, we drive to Florence eat breakfast at Shoney's. Then we'd hit the lanes. My best score was 212. But that was after being up all night working in the ER! LOL

Doc. That is good score in relative to your average I'm sure.
I am usually a 185-195 Average in leagues. So I am suppose to have games like that.
When I was 140 average I dreamed of throwing a duece.

CT,
LOL...It was...I was averaging 140-150. So, to go over 200 was a big deal.

We had a blast back in those days...One day we'd play golf, another we'd go to the gym and play basketball, another we'd go bowling. We'd go to Rockingham or Darlington and watch NASCAR qualifying...

i'm not a bowler, but me and some buds used to go after softball games on sunday nights to a alley that had where you could rent a lane for like 5 bucks between 9-11 at night on a sunday, up to 4 people per lane, and shoe rental was like 50 cents, we had a blast going there after games, we'd drink $1.50 Buds in a glass bottle shaped like a bowling pin and bet each other a dollar on first row of each frame who would knock most pins down on one roll, and we'd make side bets with each other on ov/uns, and just being silly typse bets. we never cared what we actually rolled for the whole game.
but if i had to guess i would say my highest ever is probably in the 140-150 range.
I know, who's next, who wants a piece of those numbers.

my younger brother did play in leagues when he was a teenager, i think he won some trophy one year for having highest avg. or something, i remember him saying he used to have around a 200 avg.

13 300's
16 299's
lots of chokes, 297, 296 etc

all from 89-98, suffered a shoulder injury and had to 'retire' from bowling. Was pretty good at times, had a 223 league average when I was 17 in high school in 2 leagues. Those were the days!
