Default Some of the things my students tell me are beyond absurd!!!

As some of you know I am a teacher at the University of Wisconsin and usually at the beginning of the semester I do an ice breaker to make students feel more comfortable in the classroom.

Well I usually stick to things like pet peaves or celebirty run-ins but I was getting sick of that and switched it up to be something like a fun fact about yourself.

I told students how i watched a bunch of 80s movies this summer b/c I live across the public library. Of course students got a kick out of that...what was i going to tell them that i am a degenerate gambler.

So one student tells everyone else that her fun fact is that she has 2 mothers...so i figure her parents are lesbians or something. It turns out that her family practices polygamy where she has a dad and two mothers.

Is this girl crazy...i'd be embarrassed to say that in front of a class. Can you imagine sharing something like that with strangers no less your teacher.

You teach at UW-Madison and have the gall to have that ugly avatar?!

As a fellow Wisconsin citizen, I am outraged! You might as well have a Minnesota Viking or Chicago Bear avatar!

You should have suggested a 4 in a bed with her and her 2 mothers. She'd have probably been up for that.

He knows the Badgers are going down this week, and Mich St. is gonna get at least a cover.

As for the story, wow. Is she a Mormon? People today seem to not have that voice in their head telling them when to shut up.

This is especially true for most of the student body at UW-Madison!

Well I think she was from Singapore I'll ask her sometime this semster.

I don't mind UW madison at all...but i went to MSU and i always root for them regardless. The students know it and we have some fun with it especially during last year's football game I got the last laugh! However I am a pretty big Brewers fan and watch most of their games.

Wisconsin in general is a really nice state in my opinon.

Well i hope it falls on exactly 3 this way those who bet UW wouldnt' lose b/c i have NC +3.5...but not even sure they are going to get this game off with the weather problems going on down there.

I really considered betting MSU but i always try to avoid betting MSU games...i never bet against them even though I would have made a fortune the past couple years. This game and the one against scUM are the biggest for me so i already have enough riding on it in emotions. I'd like nothing more than to win for the 5th time in a row in South Bend!

Some other cultures believe in the multi wife system. Unfortunately for me my wife believed in the multi husband system. Now I believe in the multi beer system.

I had given up hope on them finishing .500 after Sheets went down for the year, but with the way they have been playing they may well finish .500 or above.

Ned Yost is, in my opinion, the most unrecognized of the handful of very good managers in baseball.
