Default Watch Out With Cancelled Wagers

I just made a mistake with a wager at Pinnacle
and emailed them to correct my mistake and they
    replied with this

    Dear Sir,

Your request to cancel an internet play was received and we have cancelled your play for you this one time.

We apologize that our software does not yet allow you to do such a transaction on-line. Until we have made this advance, we are not in a position to accommodate these requests. If we were to do so, it would cause major gridlock for our Customer Service Department.

Our rules state we do not cancel or change any plays. All internet plays are clearly displayed for review. The client is asked to re-enter his password as confirmation that all plays are correct.

We will be unable to grant future requests to cancel any wagers.

    Regards,

    Customer Service Department
    Pinnacle Sports..

Now watch out when cancelling wagers!!!

I did that once with sportsbooks about a year ago and they wouldn't let me cancel it. I gave them hell and I end up winning. After the win, i still gave them hell. I prefer to berate people to the point of suicide if all possible. I'm sure the damn foreigner probably didn't even understand me.

Did the line move at any point before you cancelled it?

Thats one thing here they wont do, is cancel your bet after the line moves. They frown on it even if you leave the window, but they have done it for me before if the line hasnt moved.

No Line didn't move, they replied to my email quick! Probably in 2 mins.

I mentioned this on the forum so we all know we only have one chance
and if we f\*\*k up once, we are done with 2nd chances.

if the line hasn't moved then imo you should be able to cancel the wager as long as you want to take the other side. most books will give you the 1 time courtesy, but if you are a longtime customer, you should get more than 1 time.

I made this mistake once with Pinny and they let me cancel, considering how fast their lines move I think it's great they even let us have the one time. Many sportsbooks won't do this.

    imgv,

glad you were able to get this canceled...I don't see what the big deal is...if the line hasn't changed, they should allow you to cancel it...

    Great One,

I like your style...I prefer to stay calm and attack their intelligence, but whatever works...

I think the reason they gave is fair pags "If we were to do so, it would cause major gridlock for our Customer Service Department."

I think they called is spot on. I think its a mistake all of us could make but it would be a rarity. A one-off with a warning is good. Im sure if they allowed it anytime then you'd get a load of comedians just being sloppy.
