Thanks Nicky. All my picks are documented...

If I'm going to tell the truth about 3 straight winning seasons picking every game ATS in the NFL, I can't lie about this... would hurt my credibility.

I think I'll be 6 - 3 or so soon enough

Guy gets props he's honest, he enjoys his hobby and he's trying to turn it around.

My only thing is be careful with all the blowout game picks in week 1-2-3 etc...The only reason I say that is, most teams would think they could cover by 28/35pts etc, but then they don't...I mean hanging 4+td wins on someone is hard to do, I mean the coach has to try to run it up to do that basically... Most coaches let up at 3 possession games.

Just some thoughts GL, and hopefully you turn the record around this year.

Completely understandable. I tried to stick with teams that I felt would indeed not let up... for the confidence of the offense and the team I don't think Arizona or Auburn would pull up given the chance, Kansas certainly won't, Florida may but with the BCS being what it is and with Tebow likely trying for back to back Heismans don't believe they will...

Thanks for the feedback though, hopefully these guys keep pouring it on for me

Good video buddy. By the way, the Clemson game is in Atlanta (i.e. neutral field).

i thought that most handicappers wait til week 3 to bet college ball. at least to get a good feel for the teams.

A couple things I noticed:

1) You are quick to believe that June Jones (SMU) will make an immediate impact or that things will be exactly alike they were while he wa in Hawaii. While it's true, Jones will set up a similar offense like he did over on the islands, but usually these things take time to develop and it's not uncommon for a season or two to pass before it gets set up. Other times, a coach may entirely abandon an offensive/defensive scheme he used at a different program. Steve Spurrier is a perfect example of that. You have to consider these things team by team. Now, SMU has some athletes (i.e. Justin Willis) and Conference USA and the WAC have about the same quality of athletes, but still this is a different program that really struggled last year. Not sure, 74.5 is a high total and I know SMU took a drop offensively last year....I'd be hesistant but I'd need to look at it more.

2) You don't want to say "I am not an Auburn fan..." In fact, your fandom should never interfere with your ability to handicap a game/match. It's my recommendation that you abandon your desire to be a fan of any particular team so that you can concentrate more objectively on the games you are handicapping. Being a fan of a team is one of the worst qualities you can have as a gambler. Emotional involvement clouds judgment and should never be used as a factor to bet on or against a particular team. It's difficult at first, but it's a necessity if you want to do well. You'll need to remember that down the line.....

Good luck this year.....

if that's a rug, then that is the highest rug i have ever seen. usually rugs are flat on the scalp. this is no rug. this davey boy has a full stack of hair.. lucky sob.. i wish i still had thick hair like davey boy..

Is that a rug on david's head?

NO -775
YES +655

Boys, when it comes to rugs, i am the SBR expert. i was the one that first noticed richie has a rug. no one believed me.. i am the man.. i've seen them all.. i've been to rug parties back then when i used to have one. i've been around thousands of rug guys.. i know them all. i can spot them from miles away.. i see rugs like no one else sees them. i know the texture, the way they comb it.. i know it all..

Thanks for the feedback BuddyBear... you are right, I may be expecting too much too soon from Jones, but top to bottom I just couldn't see that game being anything but a score-on-every-possession kind of game. We'll see soon enough

You are one hell of a line setter Nicky. I'm only 22 fellas I'm sure you all had hair at my age too ... JJ send me some cash I'll cut it off and send it to you as a rug.

Thanks pags Its so hard during the first few weeks to cap without numbers/stats, but hopefully I can get off to a nice 6 - 3 type start to the season here

Rice wins this game as SMU is learning a new system and the and Rice has more experience bottom line.I like Florida as long as the weather stays good.I'm not too comfortable laying 3 touchdowns on the road, but I do agree with you on Virginia having trouble scoring so I'll probably pass on this one.I like Utah to win straight up also as Michigan like SMU is learning a new system.Auburn might work.I've been a huge Clemson fan since 85 and I look for them to cover vs Alabama and start the season off on a good note.Arizona is better should be ok.Florida International sucks really bad should lose by at least 40 here.Colorado and Colorado State both suck so taking the points here seems the only way to play it.I still remember UCLA losing 44-6 at Utah last year so UCLA is out of their league.Your picks look good except for SMU, their going down.

Thanks for the input Lump, though I didn't take SMU, I took the OVER 74.5... I actually agree Rice is going to win this game. But even if its 49 - 28 Rice, I still hit my over. Don't see this game being anything but a shootout.
