It says that only one refund is allowed for each member. I'm assuming that this means one refund each week, but it could be explained as one refund total.

It is only one refund per member. If you win your bet on the team of the week, then you can take another shot on the following week's team of the week, and still have that insurance.

But as soon as you have lost one and gotten a refund, you are done for the promotion.

Today's Arsenal game is already gone BTW.

I think its 1 refund of GBP $50 only , so if you place 2 bets = GBP $100 , you only get GBP $50 back

but can someone email to confirm ?

You're right, you would only get the one refund of 50 GBP. That's the max.

I don't think so - I'm 99% sure that you'll be able to have another bash next week despite getting the refund this week.

Here's my story on that: I was originally repeating what I had just been told on the phone by Mansion CS. She seemed quite firm about what she was saying.

I just called them now and was told that my original info was wrong and you are correct, that you can keep dipping as many weeks as you want, regardless of if you're winning your bets, or losing and getting refunds.

This guy I just spoke to seemed far less sure of himself though. I obviously need to get a good reliable contact there. I'll work on that.

And I'll keep monitoring this promotion - because it is a decent one - and try to firm up these details before the next Team of the Week game.

When any book has a new promotion like this one (i.e. a pretty oddball one) then you can bet your last dollar that the CS aren't going to be up to speed on it over the first few days.

    Roger that.

Hmmm ..... mansion pull out of sponsoring Man United and then two days later have a promotion to back their opponents....

Did this today ... the Arse lost as predicted ... no sign of a refund yet but we'll see during the week.

They seemed to be having a few probs today ... crashing software etc.

Most CS agents aren't up to speed on what year it is or how to spell their own first name.

Just to update: this week's Team of the Week is Sunderland who, on the Asian Handicap in the SPORTSBOOK are currently +2, +2.5 -122.

The game is at 2:45 EST today.

So get your no risk bets down IN THE SPORTSBOOK NOT THE EXCHANGE if you are so inclined.

I also did re-confirm that those who bet Arsenal last week and lost but had their bets refunded, are eligible for the same insurance today.

Every week? Strangest promotion I've heard of in a long time. Would sure like to understand the reasoning behind it.

Just noticed that Mansion was downgraded to B. Why?

I see it was a surprising 0-0 draw. Sunderland bets win with no need for backing.

They made a mistake. See e-mail copied in soccer section (Tottenham thread). The bet is for Tottenham's game against Manchester United.

sounds like this promo is somehow related to the Man U sponsorship deal that fell through in the last minute (since every team of the week is the opponent of Man U that week). Perhaps this promo was already setup to celebrate the deal, and when the deal failed, they decided to keep the promo running regardless. it's the only explaination I can think of for this really generous offer

No catch. If you win, you win. If you lose, you get your stake back. There are only a few weeks left of the football season - and you've missed 2 weeks of this promo already.

So the next Team of the Week promotion applies to Tottenham on Monday's game versus Man U.

    Gametime: 7:45 a.m. EST

And again, it's for the Asian Handicap and it applies in the sportsbook not the exchange.

    Current line: Tottenham +0, +0.5, -116

Interesting promo. I know nothing about soccer, what exactly is an "Asian handicap"? Is it very difficult to claim a refund if the team loses?

Asian handicap sets a spread for the game. Often two numbers are given, which means that your stake is divided into two equal portions.

For instance, yesterday Sunderland was +2 and +2.5. Only if Man United would have won by 2 goals exactly would the handicap have come into effect. The +2 would have pushed, and the +2.5 would have won for Sunderland backers.
