Default Question about SBR store and stuff like Betphoenix account buys ?

Ok if you buy a TV from SBR Store with points, SBR has to somehow pay the supplier shipping you the tv, presumably by cash, CC, check, etc.

Now if you take money on acct at BP.....SBR has to pay BP in some fashion, right ?

Why does BP then care if " too many" accounts get redeemed by Trixtrix or whomever ? Isn't it like a deposit to BP anyway ? At least BP would get a future credit against advertising fees, Commissions due the SBR sheets, fees for a good rating or something ?

What am I missing here ? SBR must compensate the books back when we collect a $250 Freeplay or similar...

my guess is that for sportsbook cash/freeplays, there is an agreement that SBR doesn't have to play the full amount, only a portion and the the Book, as part of the advertising agreement picks up a portion of the purchase.

certainly $250 cash at a book costs SBR less because there is a rollover involved. A $250 Walmart giftcard is worth more to me than $250 cash at BP, $250 at WM is close to cash, really....always going to need stuff like cat food, toothpaste, mouthwash toilet paper, etc.

I don't know what exactly SBR gives in exchange for the cash/fps, but it can't be anything close to full price...

I'm pretty sure that if someone buys $250 cash at a book, SBR isn't going to pay $250 for that. The books are sponsors so there's some kind of agreement, unlike the way it is if you buy a gift card or a pizza. That's why fps/cash at books have the most value.

My guess is that still have to pay out winners. Get too many free plays out there and you could be hit with a few large payouts.

Looks like to take ( essentially cash) at places like Lowe's, BB, WM you pay 1062 points to get $50. $50 at WM is close to $50 in cash for me, less so for Lowes or BB, unless I need something there. That's less than 5 cents a point to take the closest thing to cash.

You can get $100 Betjam cash for 1071 points, so half price basically for sportsbook cash with a rollover at an A+ book.

Only one option for freeplay.... $50 for 418 points at BJ....Pretty comparable to the cash option. Sportsbet is no option for 90% of us since we all already have 5Dimes.

So book cash is like half price to store cash in the company store. I doubt SBR gets a discount at Walmart.

points are worth 5-8 cents, IMO

In my estimation, SBR was paying less than $150 for $250 cash at BP, for example. That means each order created (at least) a $100 liability for BP. Now, that is partially offset by player losses on the cash, but apparently not enough for BP to make money or they wouldn't have withdrawn.

That's what I'm saying. They get a discounted rate for stuff at their sponsor books.

They're not getting any special discounts for buying gift cards or pizzas or electronics, AFAIK.

BetPhoenix foolishly offered a big discount in the sbr store, a lot of people bought their fps/cash and they felt they were paying out too much to make it worthwhile. So they yanked their stuff and screwed over people with unfilled orders.

Well they were thinking that $250 freeplay would be be a max a player will order every few months. But when sharks like trixtrix come on with 100,000 points and try to redeem $20,000 in freeplays at once it creates a problem for the book and eventually leads into 1000 small time posters being screwed. Where are those guys who were cheering on trixtrix? Sure he won but he screwed up betphoenix freeplays for you.

BP has to be cheaper than Betjam because they frankly are a lesser book, esp. with baseball coming up.

pavy, they put a cap on the amount someone could order not long ago ($1000 at a time). That would've sufficed, but instead they yanked it entirely. Not everything is trixtrix's fault, you know.

BetPhoenix had to be discounted because they're a lousy book, but they discounted too much, I think. The difference in price was enough to get most to order BetPhoenix fps rather than at a different book.

The reason BP is cheaper than BetJam is because of the higher rollover requirements before you can cash out obviously. But even so, BP is a weak book.

Not really a $100 liability when few will ever cash it out, remember it takes 3 weeks to get a check. I did a $250 freeplay, rolled it successfully had near $1,000 at the peak. I could pay something like $65 to get $850 ( **) at that point or play on. I played on trying to get to $2,000 ( the max free check), now I'm under a $500 balance....I'll likely bust this out before hitting 2k. If it were the Neteller days, I'd have taken it out ASAP once rolled, I'd have transferred over to 5Dimes or Matchbook also ....if those were options.

SBR probably paid them more like $100 on this, since you either pay huge ** fees to cash out fast or wait three weeks, few cash this out.....or any deposit to BP

and you can get paid fast by BJ or transfer to other books when you get the balance to $500 or so. If the rollovers were equal everybody should easily pick Betjam, so BP has to be cheaper.

Now as I see it, it's not really one free check a month, or is it ?

If I had $2500 on March 1st and wanted a max check of $2000, it might sit in my account until March 10th ( I might get it March 20th ?)begging me pull a BTJ and dip into requested money.... but I don't and instead run the $500 remaining up to $5000....then I want $2000 more of MY MONEY ! When can I request and get that next 2k ? I don't think on April 1st since they never took the money out of my account until March 10th.....so at best it is a free withdrawal every 5 weeks, might be even 6-7 weeks ?

That's why a Betjam should cost more than a BP !

They should have something in place along those lines ( seems prudent), but then again they also say get 40% in cash ( or credits) from SBR for it, so they are paid in some fashion for it. I can see not wanting Trixie to get 10K in freeplays ....when he was smart enough to beat SBR out of enough points to buy it.

More than anything this shows an intention to pay ( IMO). However it also kind of says they are watching the pursestrings a tad close, also !

That's why they call it gambling !

Now if they did $850 via ** free once a month or maybe for a $25 fee, that would make them cool enough for many smaller players....
