All Prizes will be paid in CASH at the Saturday Evening Banquet, compliments of SBR. There will be absolutely no entry fee, no rollover requirements, no "tip the dealer" scam. All expenses for this event will be covered by SBR, with the lone exception of any gratuity individuals feel is appropriate for the waitresses/bartender/dealers.
The whole concept behind the Bash is to reward and thank our loyal posters and also to raise money for a worthy cause. Towards those ends, Evelyn Ng from Bodoglife Poker has very graciously donated her time to help us as "Celebrity Tournament Director". More specifically, in addition to the published prizes, SBR will hold a voluntary supplemental prize pool. The entry fee for this will be $30, for which the contributor will receive an autographed picture of Evelyn, the opportunity to take a picture with Evelyn, and a shot at 50% of the money collected. If the tournament winner is in the voluntary pool, half of the money raised is donated to St. Judes Children's Hospital in his/her name and the winner gets the other 50% in cash. If the tournament winner is NOT in the voluntary pool, 100% of the money raised will be donated to St. Judes Children's Hospital. (example: 50 players + tourney winner in pool $750 to winner, $750 to St. Judes. 50 players in pool BUT tourney winner isn't then all $1500 collected donated to St. Judes.) This is strictly on a voluntary basis but we strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to do something good for a deserving charity. Of course we will gladly accept any donations greater than the $30 required to get in the voluntary pool.
Seating of players will begin at 2:45pm sharp and tournament play will kick-off promptly at 3:30pm. This event is limited to those posters who have already properly registered, however we will start a waiting list for any guests or posters who aren't already registered at 2:30. These spots are not guaranteed and are on a space-available basis. Any registered players who haven't checked in by 3:20 will forfeit their seat to the next person on the waiting list.
