I'm not coming on anything. The due factor explains so much in capping baseball. When I first started capping, I didn't understand it and would constantly bet on teams looking to sweep. It lost me money. Betting against a sweep can be very very profitable.

Funny you mention religion because if you are factoring in players and teams being due you might as well go ahead and pray on top of that.

If you use the due factor to that degree, then you will lose money. Because those are long term dues. Like the cubs winning the world series.

fifa, which day are they due to win? today? tomorrow? how long are you willing to ride a losing streak? i love the phils and i agree they will break out offensively, but the only way you can win that way is by betting them everuyday till they win

No, I'm not saying that at all. I am talking about betting against sweeps. That is where you use the due factor. It is just another reason to take a play. It is not the most important factor, but it is still a factor just like starter's home and road splits.

I am aware of that. Those are circumstances where you shouldn't put much stock into the due factor.

BTW Phil/LAD is a four game series. Thank god you used superior capping and decided the Phils were due to avoid the sweep - in the third game of a four game series.

The dodgers will win tomorrow. I don't know why you guys don't understand this idea of due. Blanton versus Penny was the most opportune matchup for Phillies in this series. That is why they are due. The Dodgers have Kuroda going tomorrow who is great at home. The Phils have Brett Myers tomorrow and he is just awful.
