I used to think that way when I was younger.....(gamble to get rich)..., but now I realized that it would never happen. So I play when I have extra money now.

Gambling to become rich cannot be used in the same sentence.

Consider me a fool then. If you consistently earn a 50% R.O.I. you will inevitably become rich. I believe I can, and over 4 years have, earned an R.O.I. greater than that via sports wagering. If the trend continues I will be rich thanks to sports wagering.

I am inclined to agree with your statement in general, but there are always exceptions.

The majority though jump in and try to strike it big quick and end up with nothing to their name. Obviously there are a few exceptions.

Personally I compare any type of gambling to streaks in Blackjack... you have to be able to unload your bankroll and ride the streak..... with that respect..

I think that everyone hopes to not only make a ton of money but I think the vast majority of gamblers would continue to gamble if they made millions, owned companies etc because it is the thrill of always going against the house... for me it's like a traditional fight.

you guys havent figured it out yet only 1/2% or less can make a living at it,the road is so narrow and filth ridden with discipline.i would suggest following someone that does or paying someone to manage your picks, but what do i know i just do it for a living

trying it on your own is a death sentence do you know the mathmatics involved here

I do not gamble to become wealthy. I am doing better than I ever could expected in life and I still gamble. If I had all the money in the World I would still gamble.

Fukin rich gambling, you guys are true fukin degens, be lucky if you got a cardboard box that doesn't leak when this is all over with. No one can win b/c of the vig, it fukin ass rapes ya everytime you bet only you don't realize it until later on when you reach into your wallet and only thing ya find is a dead moth. No normal gambler can refuse MLB or NBA season and they are IMPOSSIBLE to win at for the normal gambler, if you spent your entire life (which 99.999% aren't going to do) learning computer programming and designing advance stat analyzing software you might get a small edge but this is such a rarity that who the fuk even cares, let's just leave it at PLAY MLB/NBA AND GIVE AWAY YOUR MONEY, no way in the world can you consistently beat Vegas lines with huge juice and normal capping effort.

boys, i never opened this thread till now. and i am happy i did..

boys, let me tell you, we dont gamble for the money, cause if we did, we'd be working real jobs. we gamble cause we're all fukkin sick.. we need the rush.. we need the high.. it gives us a reason to live. gamblers are junkies.. we are no different than coke addicts.. coke addicts dont take crack because they love it,, but because they need it.. it's an addiction.. gambling fills our lives up and puts on the edge. it makes us feel important, and passes our time.. we gamble for the rush, not for the money.

boys, i swear to god, my ex bookie partner told me if he'd ever win the lottery, he'd quit for life.. and he was talking 2 million. well, i swear to god, he won the big one..10 million.. and guess what, he still gambles everyday.. i asked him, why the hell would you gamble, you dont need the money.. he tells me, he cant stop. he loves it so much.. he bets 500 a game, and makes 500 an hr in interest... but he doesn't care. cause he gambles for the adrenalin.. we will all be charles barkley if we had millions..

gamblers are sick, compulsive and are degenerates.. and that's why we gamble,, not for the money, but for the rush. we are not different than a fukkin drug addict..

I'm in the same boat as durito, I gamble to make a living. If I become rich in the process, so be it.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with betting every day as long as you are only making +EV bets.

Well said Nicky, you hit the nail on the head! Gamblers are searching for the same rush a drug addict is after.

betty, take this for example.. it's wed aft and i am sitting here bored.. i look at the lines and see 2 aft games.. betty, my cock got so hard.. i was so freakin excited like a 4 yr old kid.. i was jumping around the room thinking,, oh my god..woooooohoooooooooooo... my aft is now set.. i put action on both tv games and now i am like a kid in an amusment park.. i have my rush.. i am now smoking the crack pipe..

it's very sad, but this is how 99.3% of gamblers are.. we are all addicted. we bet for the rush, 90%, and 10% for the money.. to prove my point.. if you gave a 50,000 dollar check to patty venditto or 100 posters here to never bet again for eternity, and if they do, they die.. 99% wouldn't take that offer. why, because it's a fukkin disease.

it also adds excitement to our boring lives. what else are we going to do on a wed night at 9 pm.. watch a sitcom?? fukk that.. we want to watch baseball and gamble.. now our night is set and we wont be bored and lonely.. gamblers are sick people.. we're fukkin drug addicts. and when we lose, we dont mind. we actually like it causes us to get agitated and the rush even gets stronger trying to win it back.. it pumps up our heart..

WE ARE ALL FUKKIN SICK.. we dont care about money. we just want to gamble..
