No legs to the khabibulin rumor at all. Rumor-makers just look at the Kings, who are under the salary cap minimum and don't have a bonafide #1 goalie and put 2 and 2 together and decide Bulin would help us in both aspects.

These people don't realize that we have restricted free agents still unsigned that will get us to the cap minimum, and we also have Eric Ersberg who came on very strong last year, Jason Labarbera who when healthy is decent enough, and goalie-of-the-future Jonathan Bernier.

If Bulin were a free agent, we might have signed him. But we certainly aren't going to trade away young players and draft picks to get him this year when we're gonna be a bottom dweller anyway. Wouldn't make sense.
