Default SBR Bash Golf Tourney at Silverstone GC

Ladies and Gentlemen, please find below the particulars for the 1st Annual SBR Forum Golf Tourney at Silverstone Golf Club in Las Vegas Nevada:

Itinerary

23 August 2008 (Saturday)

0700 - Depart Golden Nugget, pickup at the First Street Entrance (valet parking area). Transportation will be provided from the Nugget to Silverstone and back, however given the tight timeframe stragglers will be left behind. If you intend to take advantage of this opportunity it is imperative that you arrive in a timely manner.

0730 - Arrival at Silverstone GC, registration. SBR will pay green fees/cart rentals. Incidentals (balls, tees, booze) will be the responsibilty of the player. Rental clubs will be available to those who require them at a flat rate of $30 per set.

0802 -Tee time, first group. The tournament will be played on the Mountain and the Valley Courses. Depending on participation, there will either be a staggered start or multiple start with a group going off on each course simultaneously.

TBD - Longest Drive Contest: Mountain Course #3, winner takes home a Bose Noise Reduction Headset and more importantly Bragging Rights!

TBD - Closest to the Pin Contest: Valley Course #7, winner bags an MP3 player and somewhat less impressive Bragging Rights.

TBD - (approx. 1:15pm) Return to Golden Nugget.

Prizes will be awarded at the Banquet Saturday Evening at the Golden Nugget. Tournament winner will receive a commemorative watch and trophy. Tiebreakers if necessary will be determined by SBR John. Additionally, SBR will make a $500 donation to St. Judes Children's Hospital in the name of each player that beats SBR John.

topgame its not that uncommon
if you think he is that good best thing his parents can do is hire him a full time coach, the other route is the nationwide tour @ 350 a pop its not that hard to earn your way to the top and earn cash at the same time.the only thing that sucks is the nationwide is full of tuff tuuf competition untill he becomes a regular member to play for the 2-day cut on thursdays he needs to play a one day monday qualifier first to get in...

This oughta be a lot of fun. I sure as hell wont win any prizes, but I will have a good time out there. Silverstone is a cpl miles from my house. Someone tweak johns putter so we can get some money donated.

Who intends to play, what do they intend to shoot? Gotta decide if I should start visiting the practice range, or if its all outta reach anyways. If I practice I could get down to the mid 80s I imagine.

Depends on how hard the course is, I would say 90-95, problem is I cant hit irons, not sure if this course is going to have an all woods set for rent or not

Not sure, I guess SBR wants it every man for himself, I've got a set of clubs that includes irons but my iron game is so up and down I've been hitting woods alot kinda playin it safe. Ever since I quit the tour my games gone downhill

If my plane gets in ontime I'll be at the course on Thurs at 10am ish. Figure I might want to practice if I'm going to break 100.

Anyone gets in early and wants to play for free, come on out at 10AM.
