Factsman and BetCRIS Sportsbook Launch Summer Classic Million Dollar Challenge

Joe “The Factsman” Apricena, known as the strongest baseball handicapper of the last two decades today issued a million dollar challenge to Mickey Richardson, CEO of BetCRIS Sportsbook, pledging that he will win 65 percent of his baseball wagers between April to October of 2006.

The challenge between the respected baseball handicapper and BetCRIS could be the largest wager ever recorded between a player and an online sportsbook.

BetCRIS is calling Apricena’s wager the Summer Classic Million Dollar Challenge. Apricena – the operator of the most controversial sports forum on the internet (sportsforumpicks.com), is confident that from April to October, based on a minimum of 100 wagers, he will win 65% or more.

Before accepting the million dollar challenge, Mickey Richardson consulted his line management team at BetCRIS.com who told Richardson that the odds are stacked against Apricena by not being able to lay big favorites.

A spokesman at “The Factsman’s” Clearwater Beach office disagrees stating, “Joe just stole 5% we would have made the wager at 70%.”

As to why he took “The Factsman” up on his offer, Richardson said, “In 21 years BetCRIS.com has never shut a player out and we won’t start now. As for Joe, I respect his talent but think the odds are stacked against him.”

I'd need to know the details. It's weird to have a bet based on winning percentage when you're betting moneylines. It says he can't lay big favorites but it doesn't say where exactly they are drawing the line.

The whole thing smacks of a publicity stunt but maybe not.

I took it apon myself to venture over to that most controversial forum, and see what was going on with this. Not much detail on there either.

They only have 787 members, and been around what looks like over a year. Had to mention that.

Here is what the favorites are capped at.

THATS WHAT WILL DO THEM IN

I DONT NEED TO LAY -320 IF I KNOW THE OTHER TEAM WONT SCORE 4 RUNS AS A TEAM TOTAL

OR THE -320 CHALK TO SCORE OVER 4.5 OR 5 RUNS

I MAY HAVE BEEN BORN AT NIGHT

BUT I ASSURE YOU IT WASNT LAST ******* NIGHT

    IM READY TO PLAY
Hey Prick. Is this guy trying to take your title as The Prick?

I like the guys chances on that especially being that it could just be 100 games. Alot of people hit 60% in baseball year in and year out. After 100 bets, if he's up, he wins. If he finds himself down, he can just keep going. With 2,400 games, I like the guys chances. Of course, it depends what they consider a heavy favorite too.

What would I have to make this bet with this book, to take this bet. Somethings up with this, this book must have inside too fixes or something. Just seems to easy for The Great One to buy.

i take it this guy must use the cris lines. if thats the case, the 20 cent line surely will not help him with winning this contest.
