Default SBR Bash Golfers!! Check in

Its going to be at Silverstone http://www.silverstonegolfclub.com/i...2&openitem=472.

Saturday morning, August 23rd, at 8AM. Tee time is sharp.

There will be a longest drive contest and closest to the pin. Bose noise reducing premium headphones and CD player will be given to the winners of those. Lots of other prizes as well.

SBR will donate $500 to St. Judes Childrens Hospital in the name of every player that beats SBR_John.(except accuscoresucks - no pros please)

Of course the golf is free. We have Hummer limos picking us up at 7:15AM from the lobby at GN and returning us after the round. You can drop your sticks right there in the lobby when you check in. Stick rentals, shoes, balls, tees, a crying towel for accuscoresucks, ect., are available but that expense is on you.

My status for the bash is still in the air because of work. The summer policy is that days off are granted only two weeks ahead of time because of abuse in the past. It looks good but till its official nothing is certain. I'll know this weekend. As for the golf I'm a bogey at best, I was hoping for a scramble format. In any event I'm looking forward to playing the course.

This event sounds like fun, and at 8:00 am being from the east, it will feel like 11:00 already.

Dress Code: Silverstone's Dress Code does not permit denim of any kind, tank tops, cut-off shorts, tee shirts or metal spikes. Players arriving in denim will be required to change prior to teeing off. Collared shirts are required.

Rental Clubs: Silverstone offers the latest Callaway X-20 clubs for rent.

Called them up $60 if you wish to leave your clubs at home.

They have 3 9-hole courses... they will probably select the 2 the day of. My guess is it will be the Valley and Desert.

I am in.. and will probably shoot a 90-ish. They also have the longest par 5 in vegas I believe. John, what is your long ball? If its over 280, then I am not going to win that. Another suggestion would be to allow golfers to buy mulligans (where the money goes to charity)... Some past tourneys I have played in allowed you to purchase up to 4 mullis at like $25 a pop. Silverstone is an EXCELLENT choice to host your tourney.. I have played in some out there, and it is top notch.

Good to hear Mike, thanks.

I'm hoping to shoot in the 80's but certainly no lock there. Short game is weak and long game is even weaker. But I tell a decent joke and pretty good at finding lost balls and slightly used tees. Longest drive? Probably 260, not sure, rarely find the ball when I use the driver.
