I hope Aaron Rodgers is an absolute dud for the Packers this year. Hope he throws 45 picks.

I hope Rogers does well, and Favre does terrible. So Favre can feel like a bigger piece of sheit at the end of the year.

Why is Favre the villian here? Because he realized he retired too early and wants to play football? I don't get why people are upset with him. I think the Packers are the idiots here by not taking him back. Rodgers is unproven and Favre is the runner up MVP and a guaranteed HOF'er. The Packers made this an issue. Would it really have been that difficult to ship Brian Brohm somewhere to make room for Favre? Still don't get it. I hope it smacks the Pack in the face, and I'm a lifelong Packer fan. I'll be rooting (and probably betting) against them all season long.

I just think that Favre was too much of a vet to keep retiring so close to the end of the season when he KNOWS he's gonna feel differently the closer he gets to training camp time, why not wait??

Favre pissed the team off because he's been doing this will-he, won't-he dance for three years. All the dip shit had to do back in March was say I'm not sure if I want to retire, give me until "x" date. Packers gave him ample chances to change his mind from all that you read ... they finally said F off. I commend them. I don't care if they're good or not, but I hope Aaron Rodgers does well. I used to admire Favre, but Favre can suck a dong after all this.

This will not end well for Favre. Big, big mistake.

Every great athlete goes through this. Jordan and Montana did. Why is Favre villified by it? The Bulls accepted Jordan back without batting an eyelash after his baseball fiasco. Then the Wizards comeback? No great athlete can let go with ease. The Packers should have known this was coming. How difficult is it to accomodate one of the best players that they've had in the history of their storied organization? I really don't see how they've made any major changes because of it anyway. By preparing Rodgers to start? Shouldn't he be readied anyway? By drafting Brian Brohm? Seriously? None of it makes sense to me. I hope Rodgers falls flat on his face and the Packers get booed every game at Lambeau.

The jets fans and the whole football culture in new york are the real winners in all this.this is a great move for them with a new stadium. Its not just great for them and favre to sell some favre jerseys and all the merchandising in a big market but just to bring a major change the whole culture of the jets.

fantastic move by new york front office and fantastic move for favre.he gets to play football in a changing environment with a program that cant go any lower, you cant go any lower than Pennington and the jets last year,

anything favre does will be seen as a major step forward.

great move by the jets.I just wish I was a jets ticket holder and fan, this will be very exciting for new york and jersey folks, the ny post should have some great stories next few days.exciting move

Huge Farve fan but I dont think the whole story has come out. If farve had an attitude about competing for the starting job then I will understand. As my coach used to say, there is no "I" in team.

I just put down a max bet at a shop on Jets -3 week 1. Off board some places, vs Miami figure it might go to -5.5 or so with Favre in there, will my bet stand?

GB gets conditional 4th rd pick....

if Favre sees:

50% snaps.... becomes 3rd rd pick
70% snaps.... becomes 2nd rd pick
80% snaps.... becomes 1st rd pick

Favre is the real villain here. He jerked GB around all off-season by agreeing to return then changing his mind numerous times.

This is like a gf dumping you, spurning your numerous attempts to get her back, then showing up at your door months later wanting to get back together. But by this time you are dating a new gf and completely over her. Good riddance Favvvrrraaaa.

Can Favre learn a new system in 3 weeks? He might not play until Week 3 or so...who knows really?

I wouldnt lay alot on the Jets guys. Remember, Favre has played in GB for many many years, he may not play the same in NY. Also, the jets suck, dont forget that
