Beautiful place. Leave the laptop home. Expensive as hell. Bring extra duckets. I think it is a little overrated, but I am all about value over luxury - in other words I am a cheap bastard. Your girlfriend will love it.

If you like kayaking, diving, snorkeling, that kind of stuff, you'll love it.

I am renting a boat when I am there. She is worth it but it is a little get away for myself as well...It is actually close to where I live I just have never been there. It is not that much money for right on the beach.. I am looking forward in going. I never have been and I always hear about it and how nice it is...

Don't let my overrated comment dissuade you. It is very nice. I'm always looking for value, and at those prices, there is no value. But you will definately get what you pay for which is a nice couple of resort days away from it all with a cool gal.

No worry bro, $850 is worth one game, why not going out there and enjoy 2 nights, I am sure you are not disappointed. make sure bring some chips and drinks, cookies,

Hell,just go to Catalina,Hawaii or any tropical paradise and sack out on some secluded beach and the hell with paying $300 a night for a foo foo powder yuppie hotel.Same goes for eating,either catch your own fish or go and buy some from a guy that sells it along the roadside somewhere.When I took a trip through Louisiana I bought Forest Gump shrimp from a local yocal and in Maine I bought lobster that way.I cleaned and deveined them myself for a fraction of the price.Instead of paying $12 a piece for some watered down Mai Tai cocktail with an umbrella in it at a yuppy bar,buy a 12 pack of 24 ounce Steel Reserve's for $12 to take in the sunset.

Anyone see the documentary on the guys that were surfing bums that flocked to the north shore of Hawaii?They are looked upon as the high royalty of surfing now but they were nothing but street people that scuba dived for free fish and they squated on peoples land in Hawaii for years.They said it was the best time of their lives.They beach combed to find stuff to sell to raise cash for beer.

Tell your woman that you are taking her to a tropical paradise and if she get's pissed off that you are going the roughing it route instead of the yuppy route,either tell her to pay for the whole trip doing it her way or dump her.

Well, Illini? How was it?

It was pretty cool. I had 2 days to go somewhere somewhat close and told my girlfriend she can pick a place and that is where she picked. The only problem is I live in a place that probably has some of the best weather in the country. I wear a t-shirt and shorts all year round. The weather was the same I am used to. Our room was hooked up but it was a very old hotel. I rented a boat for 5 hours and hung out in the middle of the ocean and just did a lot of thinking. I am in the process of expanding my company and I did a lot of brain storming which I don't do much of. The food was awesome but everything was very overpriced. I had a great time but it was not worth the money whatsoever. Most of the people I talked to were from the East Coast, I don't think many people were there from California. I wouldn't go back put it that way but it was a nice little get away. I did miss SBR though, how gay does that sound? Ha Ha...

I own a few group homes. They house adults with developmental disabilities. I am branching out to Arizona and one day all over the Country I hope. It is great to give back and make some money at the same time.

I am into high grade pre war cards. I do not like to talk about it on this forum. I did once before and there are people that have no clue what they are talking about and try to chime in...
