Baseball man...hitting a baseball coming at 85-95 MPH and curving is the hardest thing to do for any man/woman or any size/shape. Football isn't what anyone would call a "skill" sport. Hockey is second no question, the speed and agility required on skates is amazing- after Baseball and Hockey I'd say Golf.

Baseball...try hitting a 100 mph fastball that is headed for your head and breaks 3 feet

american football? depending on your position in football there is only one of two things you need to have the ability to do

    1. run really fast
    2. stop someone else from running really fast

either of these two requires any real skill, it has more to do with god given physical capabilities

i will agree though that the quarterback position requires a great amount of skill

Mofo is that you? They gave you the answer. It is baseball. This is why it takes the minor leagues to prepare a guy to play in the show. Seldom can a kid come from college or high school and play major leagues. Other sports happens all the time. End of thread, Mofo!!

Not technically a "sport", but throwing javelin for track and field takes a shtload of skill.

Fun fact- Breaux Greer, the American record holder, had a 90+ mph fastball in high school, but decided to go "professional" for javelin instead because pitchers are a dime a dozen, and he wanted to try something harder

Hockey's up there for me....but BASEBALL is the top...162 games a year not including spring training and postseason...turning a double play that starts from point A to point B to Point C in an average 3 to 4 seconds takes an extreme amount of skill. Hitting takes an insane amount of skill to recognize curve from fastball...fastball to changeup....I mean you literally have a half a second to react if that. and while players do sit and wait there turn to bat or pitch or whatever....we are talking about 3 quarters of the year is the baseball season as opposed to any other of these sports....with one day off every 2 weeks during the regular season...its insane

Having played hockey, baseball, and soccer.. I would have to say overall hockey requires the most skill cuz ppl don't understand the split second desicions that have to be made at speeds over 20mph..

But I have to say, hitting any type of baseball is the HARDEST individual skill in all of sports
