Default Madden is a F'n Jackass. Has anyone said that in 2005 yet?

McNabb tosses a no-no pass to the hawks and it tips off 2 sets of hands into his Westbook and its a great play?! "that guys a playmaker!!"

Pretty much senile but friendly broadcaster. Not much in terms of journalistic prowess...violates a lot of broadcasting rules with things like turn-taking, massive digressions, poor vocabulary, quick calls that turn out to be wrong, etc...

But he seems like a nice guy you could have a beer or brat with

Dennis Miller is too smart and Madden is too dumb. Maybe they just bring in a hot chick and let the chips fall where they may. :thumbs_up

Madden sucks but I like Al Michaels. That guy could make a chess match exciting. Madden is the master of the obvious. If I heard either Madden or Michaels hyping McNabb or Vick anymore, I think I would have puked. Along with Dante Culpepper, three of the most overrated quarterbacks in the game. They all make too many mistakes and they're poor passers to say the least. I might reconsider if one of them manages to win a Super Bowl but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Good game though, Mcnabb played horrible, Vick still can't pass and both defenses played extremely well.

as bad as Madden is, at least he isn't Joe Theisman...truly annoying. the most entertaining Joe has ever been was when his leg snapped like a matchstick.

Theisman is horrible. Frankly, that whole ESPN Sunday Night crew isn't that good. Maguire is good but he isn't that relevant anymore; frankly, I don't think he was relevant in the '80's when I think he was doing games with Don Criqui and Bob Trumpy on NBC! I think it would be awesome if they had Chris Berman team up with someone to do the Sunday Night Games. I bet ratings would go up.

As far as Madden - and I think this is a longshot - he's got McNabb on the cover of his game this year (yes, Madden jinx strikes again). Heck, he may not even realize it but it would be silly to criticize him in that case. Madden though is hilarious. Did anyone catch Monday Night Countdown last week when Stuart Scott was on the field with Madden? Stuart makes a comment about being able to see John in person rather than on HD television and how that's a great thing. Madden had NO clue what the heck HD was and looked dumbfounded and stuttered going, "Um, yeah, it's uh, a, good thing, uh, that HD...". LMAO!

I wonder if he knows what an Xbox or Playstation is.

I bet EAsports gives the league networks big $ or deals to keep him on tv. He is a blundering advertisement.
