Default Nady and Marte trade looks brilliant!

Yankees have won only a game since the trade and they are about to lose two in a row.

Almost as brilliant as judging a trade in three games ...

And almost as brilliant as getting your facts wrong (Yanks won 10-3 with Nady and Marte in the lineup on Saturday, with Marte striking out Papi ...)

Pavy, I expected better, my friend.

Pavy, first you have to get your facts right ... you said they had not won a game since the trades. You were wrong.

They say short-term memory is the first thing to ... what was I saying again?

Ryan, let the kid judge. I like people that make up their minds early ... more fun talking to them late.

I actually thought it was a good trade for both -- Pittsburgh needs some minor leaguers to develop, Nady and Marte were walking anyway. Now if they trade Bay, they better get an couple of big prospects. Jack Wilson will be next, I predict -- perhaps to the Dodgers for Andy Marte?

Yeah. It is hard to expect a a player from the Pirates to just suddenly start hitting like he did in Pittsburgh. That's why I benched him this week on my fantasy team.

Good trade for both sides, Yanks get guys that will help this year, and will be there next year. Pirates get pitching depth, and a high upside 19 year old AA player in return.

I wonder if Pavy has any clue about sports. I know he has the ability and desire to try and annoy people.

Good for him!

It realy looks like they are jinxing the Yanks, but their just in a slump now...
They are for the future in my opinion cause it might take some time to settle down in NY...
But I can't see Nady goes from a great player for the Pirates to a bad one for the Yanks in the long run...

I know this is not his fault. The whole purpose of this thread is to show that Yankees GM is a dork. When others trade for Sabathia, Harden, Teixeira and Ramirez you trade for fukking clowns Nady and Marte?

the yanks just are not a good baseball team
simple as that
they have one + fielder (melky)
thats really all they have defensivelty
they are gutless and heartless and unclutch and pretty boys who cash checks

damons clutch. but thats it

It is amazing. Going into tonight, the Yankees had the 6th best record in baseball and that is playing in one of the best, if not the best, division ... seeing as 3 of the top 6 teams, record-wise, can be found there ...

I guess all of MLB, save 5 other teams, aren't good baseball teams ...

Is that your point? If not, I am afraid you don't have one.

my point is not that they cant win, its that they dont seem to play baseball, they are good hitters in general, but thats it. awful defense, just a bunch of stat machines. gutless worthless players who used to be good. they need posada so badly bc he has heart

jeter is worthless
he brings nothing to them, he cant hit and he cant field
they may win games but they are not a TEAM

And yet they have the 6th best record in baseball. Last time I checked, teams were measured by wins and losses ...

Would you rather they were more of a team and won less games?

Does that make sense to you on any level?

The Marlins have a better record than the Skunkees and their payroll is less than Jeter's salary.
