Matchbook.com Payout Issue
Hi Guys,
Has anyone come across an issue with payouts involving Matchbook.com? I have an account with them and tried to withdraw money since last week and their excuse is that their processor has not processed the withdrawals yet. Is it just me (since I've been winning lately) or is this also happening to other people?
Would like very much to get your input on this.
Thanks!

1 week is nothing to be worried about most books take 30 days plus via check, your money is safe

Although I havent requested a check this month, I have always recieved payments from them with no problems including last month. Standard check usually cost $9 and takes about 2 weeks.
Are you outside the states by chance?

AgainstAllOdds, I am based here in the US. I always request check withdrawals via courier (FedEx) for $39.

XXXXX : Hello, I have a question about payouts...I was thinking about making a withdrawl but I have a friend who said he had an issue with a payout...are you currently having problems with your processor or payouts being on hold?
Selena : hi. No we do not have a problem with our processors. Do you have a question concerning your account ?

I received a matchbook payout by neteller in under 30 minutes the other day and one by check in two days.

AgainstAllOdds, I don't think they'd say there was a problem with their processor to you since you did not attempt to make a withdrawal. Why would they? They'd lose customers or make you suspicious. On the other hand, why would they lie about having problems with their processor? Why would they tell me that they are having problems with their processor and tell a completely different thing to another person? Now the smell is even stinkier. Here's the chat session that I did just seconds ago: NOTE: I chatted with the SAME person that you chatted with.
** You are now speaking with Selena, Accounting. **
Selena : hi welcome to matchbook
xxxx : Any developments about my $xxx withdrawal which was requested Thursday of last week?
xxxx : still there?
Selena : can I have your username ?
xxxx : : xxxxxxxxx
Selena : We are having problems with our processor.
xxxx : where is the tracking number?
Selena : We will update you with a tracking number once we have an update. This will not be before Monday as our processors are closed until then. We will send you an email or you may contcat us again on Monday once we can contact Fed Ex and our processors.
xxxx : you had the whole week to get the tracking number
Selena : Like I said, we are having problems with our processor.

Don't worry
I requested a check by courier ($39 fee) last week and it took a total of 9 calendar days to arrive. I'm based in the U.S. also. As I recall, it took the initial 2 or 3 days for them to subtract the money from my account/process the request.
It arrived via certified mail which surprised me as I'd always read previously that people received FedEx envelopes. Anyway, are you saying that an entire week passed without them even taking the money out of your account? Or are you saying that simply 1 week has passed without yourself receiving the actual check?

Guys, I'm happy to report that I received the check via certified mail - just like what happened to TeamPlayer. Matchbook is actually a safe sportsbook - except for that one hiccup there. I paid for the delivery of the check via FedEx ($39) but received it via certified mail ($9). Not sure if I should ask for a refund of $30.
TeamPlayer, my account was deducted the same day I requested the withdrawal.

Unfortunately, processor delays are a fact-of-life today because of Bush and the Republicans. Waiting up to 2 weeks is a reasonable time to give a solid book such as Matchbook the benefit of the doubt.
I wouldn't use BoDog because waiting 30 -60 days is to long in my opinion but here is an interview with Bodog's CEO for North America about this issue which I'll give itsown thread:

I thought this was interesting.
"Without exception, every one of those sites takes significantly longer than they did pre-UIGEA. Whereas Neteller and Paypal were almost instantaneous, my “expectation” now is at least 30 calendar days. My last check from Bodog took almost 45 days. The previous one was 30 days and the ones before that were right about 10-15 days. But, I have also found that most sites are actively working to find new ways to get money to its customers. The challenges seem to be on the banking side. For example, I have received multiple checks from Bodog and up until the last one, every check was from a different bank. That tells me that they are having trouble with their US banks. There is one site that actually is attempting to make it look like you are on their payroll. They send you a debit card and then process your “payroll” check when you withdraw. Then, you go to an ATM and get the money. All of these seem to be creative ways to work around a silly law that is almost unenforceable. So, in conclusion, this is a billion dollar business, and therefore, because of that, these sites will find ways to make sure their customers get paid. It might be a bit shady, but their business life depends on keeping a fairly spotless record."

I'm stuck in the same situation. Everyone I know says they always got their payouts in 2 days from Matchbook by courier, which was FEDEX in the US.
Now, recently, in the last 3 weeks, we are hearing about all these payout processing problems, delays, and Fedex courier shipments being sent out via USPS.
I requested a payout on July 23rd by FEDEX courier, and I've gotten nothing, no tracking number, and not even a return response by the rep as promised twice by email.
The link is:
Matchbook Payout Failure...
My opinion is they have a new processor which has their head up their butt, or most optimistically, is ironing out the procedure.
What we are getting most likely is lip-service while they straighten things out.
Matchbook is run by the same company as WSEX, and both companies have a long-standing record of excellent payout procedures, so I expect this to be a hopefully short-lived inconvenience.
Maybe we may have to wait a few more days, but I don't believe incompetance and delays will be the norm in the future most likely.

I requested a FedEx payout yesterday, it was taken out of my account this morning. I will let you guys know how it goes. I spoke on live chat with accounts and she said the wait time is 2-4 business days. She also said I will get a tracking number in my email when it becomes available. I've never gotten a tracking number before, we will see if I get one.

Since my payout request from Matchbook earlier in this thread (which I received after 9 calendar days),
I requested another courier payout last week and this time received it in only 2 calendar days in a FedEx envelope.
Definitely dont worry.

As safe as Matchbook is, its funny when a CS rep like Selena completely lies to someone like she did to AAO.

Also, the time a check takes to clear and enter your bank account mostly depends on how much money is in your bank account. It has nothing to do with the check. If you have only a couple thousand dollars in your bank account and you have overdrawn in the past, expect delays. In that case, you should stop gambling anyway or ask daddy for more money
