Default Why Do Casinos Play Music 24 hrs per day?

    Must be a reason

It's fukkin nerv wracking, I could win if it was quiet. It is impossible to concentrate.

They include subliminal messages in the music which make you bet irrationally and stupidly so you lose your money.

JJ what kind of music do they often play in US casinos?
The music they play here in Aus casinos is very quiet or sometimes no music at all. Mainly all you can hear is the sounds from the pokies.

I only notice the mystical sound of the slot machines. Almost hypnotizing.

Music is played so no matter what the business level is inside, there is noise. Studies have been done on music vs. no music and business is better when music is on.

Everything that a casino does is to get the gambler to feel comfortable so that they forget time and how much money they are losing.

It's all just to keep your emotions going in all directions. One song will be all soothing making you think "lose...lose...it's ok if I lose baby..." and then the next minute your all wound up with a totally different song, putting you in a dream world of all your winnings coming on the next hand.

No upside to having it for the player. All sorts of old school tricks still work well for the casinos.

Try to imagine if there was no music at all. It would be very strange and feel very dead.
