Betway has continued to close accounts from players that won freeplays. They are stealing the deposits, as well as the bonuses and winnings.

Has anyone received a Betway payout recently?

Last one beginning of june, about $600. Most of the problems seem to be since then though.

SBR poster DIF reported he received a payout from Betway back on 6/18/08. Other than HeeeHawwww there are no other recent claims that I can see via the SBR archives.

I feel F+ is a tad to low because they do pay on occasion. However a D- should be there current grade IMO.

I receive regular payout for 2 days via MoneyBookers previous week ,but my account is old and a didnt use any bonuses or freebets before.

BetWay continues to confiscate winnings; SBR lowers rating to D

Betway offers free-plays as an incentive for bettors to deposit. After the players have met the wagering requirements and request a payout the sportsbook confiscates winnings and sends back the deposit. A losing player never realizes he never had the chance to win the house's money. The sportsbook cites bonus hunting and taking advantage of the sportsbook's offers without intending to gamble further. Betway attempts to brand this type of play as the "money method."

BetWay: You have been positively identified as a participant of the "money method" scheme and therefore we have locked your account, cancelled all your bets and returned your initial deposit to your eWallet account. We will keep your account locked and will lock any future accounts you register."

BetWay (SBR rating D+) confiscates earned free-play winnings

BetWay claims at least five players followed the directions of a third party website on how to utilize bonuses and cashout in the shortest amount of time possible. Although this is not the type of play the sportsbook hopes to gain from the promotion, Betway does not have rules against betting with the intention of earning bonuses quickly and utilizing the sportsbook only for that reason. In email discussion Betway refers to this action as "the money method." SBR has asked Betway to reconsider honoring all wagers and allow SBR to advise on the promotion's terms and conditions. BetWay has been downgraded from C to D+.

BetWay to SBR: In the case of the 5 accounts in question, we remain firm that the evidence is clear that these players came through a site which openly teaches players how to abuse bonuses.

BetWay to user: After analyzing Metododiheiro.com, we have seen that the "money method" promotes a step-by-step guide and workshop for systematic abuse of free bet bonus offers on 50+ Sportsbook sites. Betway were not aware of Metododinheiro.com and the promotion of this scheme until recently.

keep in mind the original post dates back quite a while.

there have been other topics about this book, in the past they seem to have had issues with a small group of players, i''m not sure how long ago the last complaint was. i've also been with them a long time, and they always paid me without any problem, also as recently as this month. one of these books i don't let the sbr-rating guide me too much.

Received 2500 on Oct 21st and 1000 on Nov 4th, both within 24 hours on moneybookers. I've never had a problem with them and I've used freebets. Been using them for 2 years.

About 4 months ago they took my deposit of £50 after i opened an account to play poker. The poker was down at the time, so i played a little roulette, lost a little, won it back plus a VERY small amount over and decided to cash out because i only wanted to play poker. The next day i checked the account and I could not log in and the account seem to have disapeared. I sent email after email to them over a 3 day period before they gave a responce that that they closed my account because
"....the logon username is an anagram of a swear word"
I sent email after email to try and get my money back from them over a 2 week period and only got 2 useless replys back.


Gave up with these thieving clowns after that, thank god it was a small amount i put in.

I don't know of any thefts from current A or B rated books (although Casacde was rated highly in years past).

Play where you will, but make informed decisions.

I've had no problem with Betway either, and get occasional bonuses from them.

Not acceptable what they're doing with winning freeplays though. As a result, I won't ever bet anything more than peanuts there.

Betway will eat your money. Stay away. They lock my account because I missed to answer a call they made to verify my ****. I deposited $500. I try to contact them several times but no response. I think they may back and leave and open another site with a different name.
