Introducing...the THUNDER (?!)
Kevin Durant and company are now called "The Thunder."
http://www.koco.com/sports/16925692/detail.html Is this true? God I hope not -- it sounds like a DLeague or WNBA team. Besides, don't team names have to end with an -s? Can you imagine the announcer... "HERE COME...THE THUNDERS!!"  Richard Jefferson got owned by Arenas today in his blog -- but I bet RJeff is glad he's not a THUNDER. I guess THUNDER is an irregular nominal declension... the plural is still THUNDER...? Must be like WATER (where the singular form is the same as the plural form).  |

Its just unusual. If the Lakers or Jazz or Clippers were new nicknames they would sound way worse than thunder
