I like the Rams to win the division and at least a +5 to their win total from last year.

My 2 best bets in this area would be two 7-9 teams that haven't been listed yet, the Broncos and the Panthers. Both are more win now ready teams than most other losing teams from last year.

3-13 was an aberration. This team has the talent to contend for the division if they can stay healthy and the o-line can protect Bulger.
Saints 7-9 last year is the same thing. The Saints are a favorite to win their division in 2008 for a reason.
I also like the Bills to improve from last year's 7-9 and contend for a wildcard spot in the AFC.
I disagree with people saying the Lions & Broncos will improve from last year's 7-9 records. Both of these teams have way too many questions about their defense. Not to mention marginal talent on offense. There's zero evidence suggesting that these teams will be able to fix their 2007 woes in 2008.

Well lets look at their division for starters.
Minnesota) They have no QB.
Green Bay) If Aaron Rodgers is the answer, it must be for the next best synonym to 'fragile'.
Detroit) When's the last time they've done anything?
Now, Minnesota and GB have solid defensive play, some explosive scoring options, but they lack a leader behind center. And that will leave Rex Grossman or whoever the heck starts for Chicago at least in the running, sloppy division, no one's running away with it.
The Bears are the best value bet for that division win IMO, that and their season wins over. A messy breakdown, but a fair summary for 1:44AM.

Bret favre is a key component if he doesn't sign with Dolphins.
As for Detriot Lions I think they will have a good season.

I also think Bears will cause a few upsets. Forte and Jones look a good tandem in the backfield. The defence is sorted, all it needs is a decent qb here and possibly trading for a wr. Favre a possibility? I hear they're after Simms too, who should be better than Rex or Kyle.

Falcons will win 5 games or more this year. They won only 4 last year without a QB. Now with a future HOF leading the team they will win 5 games or more.

Saint Louis. Steven Jackson should breakout, defense should have gotten better. Bulger just can't get worse, and this team should get their division.

Bulger is the most consitant qb that flies under the radar. If he was on the Cowboys he would be getting HOF talk just like people refer to Farve.
Rams win divsion
Saints Take the wildcard.
Dolphins 7 wins yes you heard it 7 wins this year
Here is my knock on the saints. Overpaying Reggie Bush. He's not a HB. He can't run north and south, and he doesn't have that big play ability in the NFL. It doesn't translate to his RB. He's and overpaid kick returner. When Saints brought in there 3rd string guy he ran the ball better than Bush did... Would not suprise me to see bush not resigned or traded in a year or two. He's a flop for a number 2 pick.
The saints bounce back because they stop adapting to bush and cut him out of the system, and only bring him in for the passing game. They have spent too much time trying to unleash or use bushes talents in the NFL...but they aren't translating as expected...projected...

If I was a Redskins fan, I'm missing Gibbs right now. I'm also uneasy with a rookie coach on a veteran team. I think Snyder really runs things badly. The right move was letting Greg Williams replace Gibbs, especially on a team on the rise and coming off a playoff season. Completely changing the coaching staff can't engender confidence. Maybe I'll be proven wrong.

The line is at Dolphins winning 5.5 games. I'm tempted to bet the under, if I was to bet it. Think about it, the expected starting QB has 6 stitches in the index finger of his throwing hand. The other two QBs are rookies. The majority of the original veterans have been run off this team, ending today with Jason Taylor's trade. Any vets there are, are castoffs from the Dallas Cowboys. This team may not do much this year as the rookies try to find an identity.
