Default Is Sportsbetting popular because you have a 50/50 chance?

Every casino game the house has a slight edge, but sports gambling there is a 50/50 chance on each game you pick, right?

A lot bigger house edge on sports than craps. The difference is that the odds aren't 50/50 in sports. Many times it's 55/45 and you can overcome the house edge in sports.

there would be no sports betting if it was 50/50, no spreads and no moneylines just dollars for dollar. that poor kid will be broke soon.

It's popular because you don't have to think about it. It's not a grind like blackjack, it's not intense like Craps and you don't have ot go all in like poker...you pick a team and sit back and have a beer for 3 hours and the next day you can talk to your coworkers about it or read about it in the paper.

Personally I think it'd be popular with or without multiple lines- football especially- because of fantasy sports and TV packages. Every game is watched and every highlight is seen.

As long as there is juice (which there always will be) the bookie has the edge.

I watch zero games i bet on. Sports betting is a grind if you want to make money at it. Thats the only way to do it is grind it out.
