    You can make it in bases,hockey and even basketball but every book gets hammered in football. Football is usually the make or break for a bookie.

    No bookie loses in football, NFL and NCAAF is a bookies dream.

    AAO why do you think basically no limits with NFL football?? Well lines so tight you will not win.

    Locals want nothing to do with small teams in college baskets and bases only.

    JJ,

    It just always seems guys do well in Football, maintain it through baskets then lose it all on bases...at least thats how it is for me. Ive cut down drastically the amount of bases I bet exactly for this reason...so far its been working out.

    I disagree.....Books are making loads of money during NFL and NCAA Football season. Most folks do not bet MLB and Hockey - those that do usually have a clue about what they are doing (hopefully). NFL and NCAA Football brings in every jerkoff and their uncle to "gambling season" It is amatuer hour and Books usually clean up. Especially if it's a normal year where underdogs and unders come in......

    Well that's interesting, because most bookies would say you are dead wrong.


    BASEBALL is the biggest bookies nightmare as a general rule of thumb and has a very low hold percentage.

    On the other hand, FOOTBALL is the biggest moneymaker for U.S. sports handsdown for the U.S. based bookie........the vast majority that is.
