Default Should we ban deceiving posters?

This douchebag starts a thread about going huge on a certain team to induce betting on them and then goes and bets the opposite to maximize the odds on his pick.

He then produces evidence of his deception. Isn't this warrant banning? Deceiving sport bettors, not books. The sports forum is owned by sport bettors.

It doesn't matter if the line gets influenced. It's unethical.

I was about to say, if a book moves the line based on a thread started at SBR, then I would pull funds from that book ASAP.

It's like the stock market with all the manipulation.... I don't think one of us would do that here. Ya, and if they did..sent them packing
Pavyracer, I don't think a person here could move a line that much through manipulation.

Can you imagine if that crap happens... Makes me wonder sometimes. It's like the books already know what i'm going to do before I call.

I dont think there are a signifigant amount of people on here following on particular poster for it to have any effect on the lines. I just hope the guy who posted the pick would lose and get his @ss handed to him.

I agree about influencing the lines part especially if you play at BIG books.

This particular douchebag plays and promotes a certain book that is notorious for off the market dog and roque lines. He promotes that book like it is the best thing invented since penicillin.

For him to come back and show us the ticket of his deception is the most dispicable thing that a poster can do at a sports forum. Worse than touting a stock on Wall Street.

Who did this? Was a respected capper?

I've seen lines move dramatically after respected cappers give out their picks so it's not impossible.

But anyone that does this is on purpose is indeed unethical and should be banned.

It's absolutely possible to move lines from posting a pick in a thread. When eough people follow that pick and pile on, what do you expect to happen?

Pavy.....what game are we talking about here?

So I'm going to bet huge on a side because some guy tells me to?

Stupid.

If he makes a compelling argument for a side that I agree with and then I bet that side, and he goes on to say "gotcha" and bet the other side... Why should I care? Obviously I feel I am on the right side here or I wouldn't have placed the bet.

If indeed I am such a sheep that I placed a large bet because someone told me to when I had no idea myself, I deserve to lose.

Besides, is this guy SO sharp that he always wins? Half the time he'll switch sides and lose while I get the win.

If someone purposely manipulated a line using the SBR Forum they should be banned for life.

1. You lied and basically tricked posters that may have trusted you.

2. Manipulating the line probably voids your bet at whatever book it was at.

3. The poster then bragged about it? Is the poster that pulled this that retarded? At least keep your mouth shut. Would you go tell homicide detectives you just killed someone?

I have never posted a winning bet of the opposing team I liked in this forum after I wrote about a certain pick I liked.

This is wrong.

Only a real scumbag would do this.

I never tail anyone so it didn't effect me but there are a lot of lemmings that tail people blindly especially if you use bait titles such as "play of the year" "lock of the year" etc.

Go play games over at EOG.

Players who lay large amounts use their own selections. They dont count on an SBR poster's pick to pad their bank account.

Who cares. The guy is an idiot and so are the people who blindly follow any posters without doing their own research. If you wanna tail someone and you feel like it's a good play too, you got no reason to bitch. If you tail someone blindly - even though the practice describe wreaks of douchebaggery - it's your own risk to do so in the first place.

1. I was not minuplating any lines. I posted that like 10 minutes before the game started.

2. Anyone who blindly follows someone is a complete fuking moron anyway.

3. If a line moves because a guy posted a pick on SBR fourms.com....I feel sorry for the gambling industry.

Looks like he posted the fake tickets after the fact just so he can deflect heat for losing especially after saying he would be done with gambling if CWS lost.

Douchebag move none the less.

I don't tail anyone. I place my bets on my own. Rubbing it at people's faces after you deceive them should not be tolerated.

I agree with most people that said you shouldn't follow anyones picks. It's the fact that he bragged about doing it that's unethical. Everything else he did is normal.

Certain guys give fake plays to move lines so they play the other way, that is part of the game.

He's just a dumb ****. If he wants to play the game that way, we can't stop him, simply put a huge notice by his name "GIVES OUT FALSE PICKS, THEN BRAGS ABOUT IT LIKE A LITTLE CUNT".

Certain posts tell you certain things about guys. AAO post tells me to ignore his picks although he might be a good enough fade to just play them, not sure.
