Why all you *********** hating on Ohio State?
Pls give me one bona-fide reason, and not some gay shit that they suck and stuff. Ohio State is far from sucking and in the last 5-7 years they rule the CFB establishment, alongside USC.
We have set records for most records in a season (14), most players drafted in one draft (14), have SEVEN Heisman trophy winners, and are 4th all time in winning % and 5th all time in wins. So dont give me the standard BS of us sucking, we are one of the best teams in history, so bow do to the greatness that is OSU and stop peppering each thread I am in with "OSU sucks" bullshit. If you do youre an ignorant fool.

You showed youre true bias. We play USC this year, what the **** else do you want from a non-conf sched? no other teams play as tough as out-of-conf opponents as USC. No one and I mean NO ONE plays four USCs so of course EVERY team puts "filler" teams on the sched that they pay money to come to their stadiums and lose.

Actually, there have been SIX Heisman Trophy winners from Ohio State, just that one of them won two.
I've only counted one thread today in which someone posted that your school 'sucks.' How many more have I missed today and in recent time? Certainly haven't seen it 'peppered in every thread you're in.'
As for why I don't really like Ohowihateohio State, I can't really explain it. Like my pop told me long ago, "Sometimes there is no why, fat boy. Sometimes there just is."

Why should anyone be jealous of a team that got their collective asses handed to them two years in a row in the championship game?

If Ohio St played in the SEC they would be an average team year in and year out. Ranked about 20th when the season ends (in their best years). We saw what happens when they play the elite from the SEC.
As it is you play in one of the weakest conferences ever assembled and get to take an average team (usually composed of about 1% actually from the state of ohio) to the big dance and get wiped off the map by a real team from the SEC. The year Ohio St. beat Miami, Georgia was the best team in the nation and would have done the same thing to you guys that Florida and LSU did. However Georgia played in a real conference and had to earn what they got. Miami beat Virginia Tech like 47-44 at the end of the year and that is the only reason you got to play weak ass Miami or else it would have been the dawgs who were wiping real teams off the map at the time.
There would have been no overtime in that game, I promise.

First of I see youre a typical female sports fan - all fluff and no stuff. We got the living shit beat out of us vs Fla., that beat-down constitutes as third degree assault in some parts of the country. I confess, we are guilty as charged, a white-wash of sorts.
The LSU game WAS NOT anything even close to an overt ass kicking. We outgained LSU and had chances to close the gap but failed to do so. I dont know where 38-24 is an ass kicking, the game was about as close as the score indicated - 14 point victory, which, excuse me missy, is NOT an ass kicking. Get your shit correct. But again, the better team won, we deserved to lose.
There is widespread jealousy and rage that OSU continually gets to go to the bg dance each year. If you know anything, OSU was supposed to have a down year last year after losing Mr. Heisman Troy Smith, as well as Ginn and Gonzo and some key cogs on both the O and D-lines. So actually we overachieved and peaked a year too early, but great teams do that. We were poised to get back to the title game this year, and we will do so.
Ohiot St beat Mich who beat Fla who beat Tenn who beat Ark who beat LSU....so THAT makes OSU champs!!!!
Bow down to the ****ing greatness that is THE Ohio State University and stop hating for no reason. We are a class team that deserves our lofty status.
OSU are always the bridesmaid, never the bride. That changes this year.

I can remember a Sports Illustrated piece that followed this same flawed logic. I think it was 1976 when Boston College upset a ranked Texas Longhorns team to open the season. The string of who beat who ended with Furman as the National Champs. Funny stuff.

Because the Big Ten sucks, and the Buckeyes could easily go undefeated in a weak conference again and end up in the BCS Championship Game despite not being remotely close to being one of the two best teams in the country.

well the Sucky Eastern Conference uses the same logic that since they beat each other up it makes them a good conf or something. What a pityful, gay statement to make. You all beat each other up bc you all SUCK.

I think this touches the crux of the issue: there is broad perception that OSU has benefited unfairly from the BCS process of selecting the championship game teams.

Alright, I am going to chime in on this one. Ohio State is a very good football team. The problem is that the general public does not understand just how good the SEC conference is. It's a whole 'nother level gentlemen. Most see Ohio State getting blown up in January, but they are playing SEC opponents. Put Ohio State in the SEC and they are an 8-4 team (maybe worse if in the SEC East), it's that simple. In addition, it is one thing to play an SEC team once a year, it is a completely different thing to actually endure an entire year playing SEC opponent after SEC opponent. Let's give Ohio State an SEC East team's schedule. We will give them South Carolina's:
Ohio State SEC Schedule
N.C. State: WIN
@ Vanderbilt: WIN
Georgia: LOSS
Wofford: WIN
Alabama-Birmingham: WIN
@ Ole Miss: WIN
@ Kentucky: WIN
LSU: LOSS
Open
Tennessee: LOSS
Arkansas: WIN
@ Florida: LOSS
Open
Clemson: WIN
So there you have it. Now could OSU pull off an upset? Of course they could, but they are just as likely (if not more likely) to get upset. So you have 7-5 to 9-3, with 8-4 being most likely. And 8-4 in the SEC is nothing to sneeze at gentlemen. If you go 8-4 in the SEC, you have a solid ball club.

Ohio State's non-conference schedule:
Sat, Aug 30 Youngstown State Columbus, Ohio
Sat, Sep 06 Ohio Columbus, Ohio
Sat, Sep 13 USC at Los Angeles, Calif.
Sat, Sep 20 Troy University Columbus, Ohio
Unbelievably soft shedule. Without a doubt one of the easiest schedules in the country - just like last year. That's why they get worked every January.

If 4-2 and a national championship since Tressel took over is considered getting worked every January, then you have a very high standard indeed, my friend!

I guess the Florida football program is entirely jacked up, since all they could muster in the past 6 Januaries is a couple of wins against the crappy Big Ten schools.
