I've got an honest question for those that have been betting for years... Two NFL/NCAAF seasons ago. I won an @$$load of money betting on teasers. Sweetheart (3 teams 10 pts ) and 2 team 7pters.... at about -120 odds... I literally hit 3 outta 4 on average... Unfortunately, bc im a degen, that wasnt good enough. I am curious... Was i just got and on a crazy crazy streak or Is it kind of simple if you are a decent capper and really concentrate on the task at hand and not get greedy (wagering out of your means).
I am asking because i was always a straight bet guy, occasional Parlay here and there. I only did this teaser thing for a season, and like i said, I had outstanding results. Never really had the bankroll to do it last season.. What are everyones thoughts ?? yay or nay on Teasers? Was i Lucky or is it def profitable? |

Some teasers are profitable. The way you describe those ones, they likely aren't, but you'd have to do the math on the line combos you were betting to be certain.

Justin has the hookup with all the great teasers, but mainly I'd say look into the two team, 6pters that cross the 3&7..
A couple of books offer no juice on these as well. |

I had a great run with 3 team 10pt teasers about 2 football seasons ago. I was the same way, just couldn't miss one. This season I think I am going to go back to betting a lot of teasers, generally it takes a lot of stress off watching games because you have a nice amount of extra pts in your favor.

Exactly, the only thing is pushes lose but thats why you haveto be smart with 1/2 lines in such (no push possible). I mean just think. You have Pats -13.5 against Buffalo... I'll take pats -3.5 all day... Or whatever.. thats just an example. If you go through all NCAAF/NFL games in one week with a fine tooth comb you can really find 3 pretty great plays...
Funny thing is... id say 20-30% (depending on the week) no matter which way you tease a game, both will cover... Example: over under 42.5 ... under 52.5 over 32.5 thats a 20 pt gap that you can win no matter how you slice it... or even the lines... previous example.. Pats -3.5 or Bills +23.5... check covers.com at past weeks. and you'll see. depending on the week of course. Some weeks its even crazier, half the games will win regardless of what you take ![]() |

If any of you guys know a sportsbook which gives awesome teaser lines, let me know.......Ya, teasers are the best....But I have a problem finding a book which gives low juice lines....they're all -140 or -145. Thanks guys

Teasing totals is not a winning strategy. ABCIslands considers ties a win on 6,6.5,7.5, and 8 pt teasers. Last edited by durito; 07-16-08 at 03:55 PM.. |

I was hoping justin would write something up for us since NFL is coming up. But I'm sure hes a busy man.

Most sharp bettors aren't so loose with information, Justin is good in that regard so I'm sure we'll be able to pick his brain as the NFL year arrives. |

Check out covers.com for the last couple years lines and outcomes. I'm telling you, alot more totals than you think will win regardless.. if you do a sweetheart tease (10 pts) ex... o/u 42... it'll go over 32 but under 52.. hence, win either way... Id say close to a third of games. I'm gonna look closer into when the season nears.

Teasing thru the 3 and 7 is profitable in the NFL (Wong). I wonder if this hold true for Canadian Football, too.

On the whole it doesn't. The single reduces the chances of landing on 3 or 7. However 3 is still the most probable MOV and there are some subsets of wong teasers that have been profitable -- though the sample size I have is rather small.

Tease it the same way your 7th grade girlfriend use to tease you. I'm all for teasers in NCAA
and NFL . When carefully selected it can become very profitable....don't know what site you use but mine offers a 10pt 3team teaser parlay, and yes that is 10pts per team. 10pts is a lot in football.![]()
