Tsoprano stiffed me
The guy keeps giving me the run around about paying me the $100 bucks I won fair and square in this contest. Dude why can't you just pay up the 100 bucks, are you barreled in or what? Anyways here is a link to the thread of the contest in which he started the thread.

The funny thing is people were doubting me that I would pay up if I lost and meanwhile he still hasn't payed up. So dude can you just be a man and pay up your bet. No hard feelings just don't stiff a fellow SBR member. I would of payed you if I lost within two days. The contest ended 12 days ago. So just please man up and pay me my 100 bucks bro. Thanks |

LMAO, you think that im that broke where I cant pay you $100. I updated you every time you pmed me telling you where I was. I am currently with family and leaving tonight for the City again. JUST AS I told you today. Why are you so paranoid? I spent the holiday week with family and have no idea where a moneygram center is out here in the woods. However where I live in the City, they are everywhere. It will be sent tomorrow morning when the stores open up. I am a man of my word.

Sounds like this was taken to the board way too soon, but it provides a good opportunity to hit home this point-- do not bet with other posters. I'm sure T will and always had the intention of paying you, but just in general, nothing good can come from betting with other posters.

I was at Odawa Casino in Petosky, MI this weekend. I was beting a nickel a hand in blackjack. Catherine my dealer was scared. Wanted me to go to the high roller tables. I refused. All in all I was up 2 dimes. |

The reason I started the contest was because I wanted to have a contest with an SBR poster. First of all I will make a thread apologizing if you do pay me, It's just I've been pretty barreled in myself lately so I can use the money. I'm sorry If im coming off harsh or anything but I just hate people who don't live up to their word(I've got many a friends who do this). Maybe Im just being paranoid, but when you pay up I will def start a thread making an apology.

Agreed, and again- some fine points to take from all this..
1) Don't bet other posters
2) If you can't follow #1, stick to betting posters you consider friends.. obviously here, that wasn't the case as this would've never went public seeing as how it seemed to be mixed wires.
3) If you do happen to bet with someone, be very careful on labeling them a stiff, especially if they've kept you posted on payment details. A slow pay does not = a stiff. Again, if you are gonna bet someone $100, $20, whatever amount, make sure you can cover it in a timely manner as doing so avoids people getting the wrong idea. |
