A great talent that allowed fumbles and a little too much blow cost him his spot in the NFL Hall of Fame.

I Have a feeling john may have got technical on his ass, and was looking for 'EUGENE"
as bettil was the only one that included the Eugene.

He's alive and fine... I was being a smart azz and trying to get a few quick draw McGraws to burn up their pick. In my next post I corrected it that he is indeed alive and well.

Thanks for the great contest guys, had no clue on first 4, nice to get the ol #5 (although I did know the boxing answer after Sylvester Stallone was given as a clue, but had already shot my load)

I believe I was first altogether, no one had guess Mercury Morris prior to me answering Eugene Morris, if they did give them the money as that's correct answer and name most ppl knew him by.

I didn't participate, but I thought this was a jerk move, giving false clues. I mean, WTF?
Otherwise, probably would've made a wrong guess somewhere in there before the Dolphins clue came up and everyone knew the answer, including me.
Lots of lame, sucker clues for this question. Just glad I wasn't playing. My sequence of guesses would've went something like Payton, Sayers, Earl Campbell, Earnest Byner...

Well slacker thats the deal about giving out free money, you get to make the rules.
In the previous question I just mentioned boxing and every name was thrown out there with one getting it. So I mixed it up. The clue he was alive and well came just a couple of seconds after the clue he wasnt and that sent notice to watch the clues and figure it out, dont just guess. And it worked great.
So if you want to play next time for free money great, if you dont thats cool too.
