My lucky ass friend has a future on Cuba at 18-1. I like Japan to win this game though.

I like Cuba also. Cuba has shown that they play well in games that matters the most and they have a lot of experience from international competitions. Still, i might be tempted to bet Japan if the odds will still go up. Japan is a talented side and i feel the game is pretty much a 50%-50% coin toss.

Japan wins handily. Without Marti and Lazo the Cubans are in trouble. Put the big money on the Japanese tonight.

Last night when I checked Japan was +108. Alot of money must've come in on Japan. And the under as well.

Japan beat up Cuba's pitching in the first inning. They had 3 pitchers in the 1st inning and Japan scored 4 runs.

    Its 4-1 after 1 inning.

I have a parlay of Japan and over so I would say that Cuba comes back and wins it.

Japan just got another run and pushed the lead to 2. So its looking good so far for Japan backers. 7-5 in the top of the 9th.

Well Japan won in the end.

Did anyone follow this to any degree? I have to say that my interest in it started to wane dramatically when it was apparant that the players didn't think much of the contest either.

On a scale of 1-10, my interest was a 1. I've got no problem with the concept; it just couldn't fight its way up my list of priorities past Curling, hoops and hockey.

I'm not in a baseball frame of mind yet.

I wanted to put $6,000.00 on Japan but at the last minute got scared and only wagered $1,000.00 - fcuk me! Where was Japan +108? Pinnacle had both Japan & Cuba at -105.

The night before you could get at that price. But at tradesports it was trading at +125 throughout the day.

Great call "hanco21". I was tempted to bet my whole balance on Japan to win but got scared at the last minute. I kicked myself all day today. Still a little money is better than no money.

I was a little worried after the 2-run bomb in the eighth. The best was when Ahki came in the 8th and they played Trevor's song Hells Bells. I went to all 3 games at Petco park and had a blast downtown.
