My final Creditwagering thread
...ok, maybe not my last.
No one at this site in the position of rating or reviewing sportsbooks believes this sportsbook will survive.
I know there are a few SBR'ers that have stated they have been paid. No reason to doubt them.
What I want to be clear about is SBR strongly believes this business will fail. Probably sooner rather than later. Dont send this book your personal info based on what anyone says.
If you do send your info just know there is not one established industry expert at any player advocate site or in Costa Rica that we know of that believes this book has even the slightest chance of surviving.
It would be good if the mods would merge all of the creditwagering threads except this one so it does not appear as if they are promoted here.

It may take longer than some might expect, but eventually they will fold.

SBR John please stop with the creditwagering threads, you have done your best to expose another garbage book, and if they dont want to listen, then F*ck Em! Everyone of the sheep that has been promoting and endorsing them, will all come running to you and the mods when this book disappears like a ship in the night. Its not a question of will it happen, its when it will happen.

I hear you poet but I read threads like BigBoyDan first discovered them and Crazy has gotten a few payouts and I fear when they fold folks are going to start the usual finger pointing.
We have had angry stiffed guys write us and say the only reason I played at XYZ book is because they were rated C- by you guys and I thought they were safe.
Doing my best to let people know we are absolutely sure this book will fail. Hoping we can save a few guys along the way.

I don't have a crystal ball, I don't know their future.
I've just felt I should pass along my experiences, which is I've been paid when owed. Maybe I'm biased because of that, but I would think with all payouts we've heard about honored for 5-6 months now it's likely they have enough funding to get through the football season.

Payouts have been reported for 3 1/2 months not 5 or 6 that keeps getting reported.
I believe first payout would have been mid March.

It seems as though SBR is taking steps to distance themselves from CW. Which is a good thing. John in your opinion...what would be the likely endgame for a book like this? I'm asking you to speculate here but what do you think they will do with the database of all personal info.....assuming the Feds don't bust them?
I'm amazed that people would freely send there information to an unknown entity. For all we know they could be running this book out of Russia, the Ukraine.....who the hell knows?

Local bookies know who they are taking bets from , not extending it to just anyone over the internet. There is a huge difference.

Name and address is not exactly heavily guarded info for most people, not sure what someone from Russia or Ukraine could do with that but I've got a "database" called the phonebook with about 100000 names and addresses right in front of me, creditwagering can have the whole book for the right price

I guess so, hell I dont know, it's true their concept does look sketchy when you think about all the shot takers but I am starting to think they are better funded than most ppl think and are trying to build a pool of worthy credit customers IMO, plus who wants to have their pic up on the super stiff page forever

We all know to process instant payouts for 4 months every single week they must have some funding at least enough to get off the ground and hopefully enough to find out who pays and who don't, I do agree with the fact that extending a dime credit to anyone is a little nuts, I would think starting smaller like 100-200 line of credit to start and then work towards more credit would make more sense and be less expensive but what do I know

That is the only thing that I can see them trying to do. If they get a couple hundred people it is a good start for them.
What they lose in stiffs , pales in comparision to ad costs.

Maybe something like a 200 starting line which doubles after settling up would be good, but clearly extending credit to every1 on the planet is risky

Makin fun of guys who get scammed by a book, very classy, apparently you've never had a sportsbook.com or Royal sports give ya migraines trying to collect waiting eternity for your payout (a good percentage of your bankroll) and getting run around on whether it was sent or not and so you don't yet know that truly sucks cock, if so I'm sure you wouldn't get any joy seeing other gamblers stiffed on their payouts. I want everyone on here to win and to always get paid, I'm not a shill for creditwagering, I don't even recommend ppl play there as it's clearly a risky book, I can only provide information on my experience with them and so far it's been very good

As far as I know they are sending out moneygram by a company from Nicaragua. That does not mean something but I guess they are based somewhere in the USA. No way they are from CR. That is my believe.

Thanks to the guys that have stepped up in favor of common sense on this, pico, poker and the rest. We see these places come and go every year. These guys are only giving sound advice.
JB,
Asked to speculate I would say they go quietly in the night. The data will end up in the black market where database guys trade and sell the data.
Probably not Russia. As I said before most likely this is run out of the US I'd guess east coast. The server is in CR. Its being remotely accessed but the group seems to have connections on the east coast or are in fact on the east coast.
We will continue to look in CR for anyone that has worked on their website, IT guys, books they layoff on, agents or anything about them. As far as we know now, they have never been to CR.

The guys must have some nice money. Remember - in the beginning they paid out by moneygram. Then they changed it to check and now to a deposit card. I guess in the beginning they had way more payout than getting paid. So I guess they have backers with deep pockets.
Where has the deposit card been issued? Somehow they must fund their accounts and it shouldn`t be a problem to find out from which location their accounts are funded.

Please don't post that info. We are not here to harm them and exposing their banking or credit card provider or any of their banking details certainly could.

Actually giving out banking info can hurt the players and the book.
Actually part II - I dont have anything against CW. However they have a biz model that I'm a 100% sure will not work.

I agree with you on this, there are players there like myself who believe in the book and sick of all the crap people are starting about them who I mostly believe are coming from the stiffs.
I believe in them because they've paid me twice, I have also settled up their way in fact more now than what they've paid me in the past.
In all honesty, they've never done anything wrong to anyone as far as I know and from personal experience they've always been good to their word. If someone does not like or believe in their business model, that is no reason to attack them... which you seem to agree on.

Yes, we have to keep our punches up.
Their business model could work but not the way it is currently. Their lay down rate is too high. Credit books and a lot of local bookies work through agents that stand for the money. This model has no one standing for the money so the lay down rate is likely over 30%, for sure over 20%. Their hold is likely 6%. Everyday they stay open whoever owns the book goes further in the red. I would bet the slow pays will show up in days and weeks and not months.
