I might hedge a 5 teamer, but not a 3 teamer. Regardless, the Ranger/Yankee game wasn't over when the first pitch was thrown in San Francisco.

I think you should just ride it out because, for only $100 risked, you have a chance at $1100 profit. And should you hedge and your parlay side hit, you're going to feel salty and feel like you cost yourself five or however many hundred you decide to guarantee.

Suppose Federer tells you he's going to throw his match tomorrow. Would you bet a lot of $$ on him to lose, or would you throw him in a parlay with Nadal and someone else?

As for not hedging a 3x parlay, but a 5x parlay, what's the difference?

Let's say if your 3x parlay hits, you make $1000, and if your 5x parlay hits, you make $10,000. Why bet $5000 on the 5x hedge but not $500 on the 3x?

Well payout for one. I think a potential 5 team payout would at least be worth a look hedge wise.

Gotta disagree. You made the bet to make money and by hedging the final game (had the other game concluded in time) you would have made money. Also it depends on your finances. If hedging a final game in a 3-team parlay to guarantee you $500 or so doesn't mean a heck of a lot then screw the hedge. However I think the majority would elect to take the money and run. Everybody makes his own decision and lives with it in the end.

My point is if you had taken each game individually, you'd be up $$ right now.

crazy, hedging a million dollar parlay at 500k is attractive of course, but mathematically, it should be the same for a $1000 parlay.

Thats exactly what we're suggesting. Hedge the 3rd game, and if you have a 2x parlay, hedge the 2nd! The next step is making straight bets, my original suggestion.
