I had friend tell me that 50 k moves a line by a half point. Of course, I don't really know the intricacies of a point spread moving. What do you guys know?

I moved the juice on a run line once. Back in 2005. Athletics -1.5 +140 for the limit (500) at Sunset Station. Then hit it again at +130 for the limit again. It dropped to +120. So moved it twice.

It was a game on July 1st, 2005. White Sox (Contreras) @ Athletics (Harden). The Athletics won 6-2.

This comes to mind, because I had to get authorized and wait to the line moved to bet it again.

During ncaab pre march madness when I posted o/u and sides I swear sometimes lines would move with 15 minutes a after my posts. Call me crazy. I never bet enough to move lines but I saw it happen. I'd be watching sbrlines and it would trickel at the books

I wagered quite a large amount on Felciano Lopez yesterday on Pinnacle, (had a pretty big arb) and the line moved from 1.36 to 1.336. Must have been others jumpin on him at that price as well, or it was me

A few seasons back the Kings were like +185 -1.5 against a team I KNEW we were going to bury (NY Islanders)... bet $100 on it at BetUS and told my buddy to do the same 5 mins later. He calls me back and says "Is +160 still good?" that was cool.

I was at the game... Kings take the 3 - 2 lead in the 2nd and no scoring in the 3rd... I'm praying for an empty netter but the Kings go on the PP, negating an empty net try. I'm bummed... until Frolov buries a goal with 17 seconds left to give me the cover. Needless to say, I don't think I've ever been much more excited over an insurance goal.

Depends what books, if you use outfits that do not have a lot of volume $300 will change the line and other books that have lots of volume maybe 2k and up might change it.

There is one way to know for certain: Call up Spiro and ask for 30 dimes on the side of an NBA game that he doesn't want action on. The line will move against you before he takes your bet. Decline the new line and you'll have moved a line without wagering a cent.

Limit bets at Vegas books move the line at least 5 cents virtually every time.
