I've answered this question in the state of the industry section earlier Pico. Here is the thread that explains there current situation, along with my post regarding the situation below:

I just now spoke with Gigi a few minutes ago, and she tells me that they are aware of the website being down. Their techs are currently working to restore the website, but you can phone in your wagers until it's fixed.

Here are the two numbers you can call: 800-429-7183 or 800-429-7213

I haven't heard of any complaint or processing issues about them sir. So I would have to assume there ok. In fact I have read a couple of posts that report positive feedback in regards to prompt payments earlier this month.

Pico, I really tried to get the scoop as to why the website was down, but they just kept dodging the question no matter how many times I phrased the question differently.

    BBD,

i dont think anyone was intentionally trying to give you the run around as to the reason of our outage. they truely couldn´t give you an answer as our vendors could not provide us with the exact reason for the outage. as with any book in CR, when there is an area wide problem in CR it effects not only all the companies but most of the vendors as well, the problem last night effected both our primary and secondary internet providers and that was the reason for our site being down as well as our primay wagering lines being down, however our members were able to make phone wager through our secondary or backup wagering numbers. we will have a mirror site for a blackdog members this football season which will be hosted in another country and provide a seamless back for future problems in CR.

BLACKDOG may be a new brand but i am not new to this business, nor is BLACKDOG my sole gambling related venture. I can assure everyone that BLACKDOG is here to stay.

Fair enough, I will accept that answer sir. However, from what I could tell last night, all the signs of a Dos attack/Phone Jam type hit were taking place.

I was not easy hunting down a secondary number to contact your establishment, but I did come across one after searching high and low for it (took me roughly an hour ). As far as the mirror site goes, Please keep us posted on that project.

Call me crazy, but I have yet to hear any complaints about CreditWagering since they started up. All I have heard about is people getting paid, friendly service, ect....I'm amazed. I thought BlackDog would be the one to stand out when it came to the 2 of them.

I guess you missed all the complaints the 2 times they were down right before all the 7:00 action in baseball and the game with the Mets one Sunday night. I believe CW has been offline on 3 occassions if I remember correctly along with a few other A+ books in the last few months.

Didnt see it. Doesnt matter to me either way, if you're trying to imply it does. If they were down than I stand corrected. f\*\*k it.

Not trying to be funny at all sir. I am just saying it "reminded" me of it was all. Now did I say it was, no I did not.

As far as the number goes. The one on SBR review page wasn't working, so it took me time to hunt down another number that worked in order to get a hold of your establishment.

Below were the only numbers available to me in our archives at the time the issue arose:

    CS Phone: 1-877-834-8524
    Wager Phone: 1-877-834-8524
    Local Phone: +506-2293-1612
Now that I have 2 backup numbers, we can add them under your review page sir.

Your site is down, your phones are down. You want to deal with big money and get the customers, and become a real site, then you need to have a better plan in place than what you guys showed everyone this week.

Coming on here and going at BBD like that makes you guys look trashy.

I won't touch this book. If anything I'd suggest a downgrade if this is how there service is and they don't have better plans in place in the event of there site going down or phones down.

I believe this was a hack/attack type of job not an "outage".

I tried and went through blackdog's promo and they are not bad actually... I think they'll make it... I did not continue because they wanted tax forms and I decided not to send them in but not because I don't think they are a book that will make it.. The CS I spoke too were great and I wish them well... I might even post up a little for football who knows...

In my opinion and as fellow business owner, it looks very unprofessional to have grammar and spelling mistakes in most of your posts. By Bigblackdog to come on a public forum and constantly write like he is illiterate does not make him look good. Anytime in my business I had to write something on a professional level I would have it done for me. I shake my head every time I see his posts. He may not be American and that is fine. English may not be his first language so I give him the benefit of that. As a business owner it looks very tacky to write like you don't know the English Language. I understand also you are not catering just to Americans but on an English speaking site it looks bad. I myself am not the best in writing that is why I have a secretary for my PR. This is not my business that I am in so when I am on here it is all fun and games. For Bigblackdog this is his business and a hell of a lot of people that see his posts will not take him seriously if he can't write correctly.

FlyingIlini we can't all be Software developers or whatever you do. Some of us are from the streets. We aren't perfect. BigBlackDog is an old school cat with integrity and honor. I have conversed with him on a few occasions and i can care less about his grammar. I care about a man's word. judge the man not his text..

Any time a sportsbook manager comes on here and is combative, you can't help but think what a joy they would be to deal with should you ever have a dispute with that book.

Considering the business model that was mentioned previously by BigBlackDog here at SBR, I feel they have a legitimate shot of making there company a success. He mentioned his company wanted to grow slowly and maintain quality service to make sure his clients are well taken care of. Hopefully Blackdog will stick to their business plan, because I remember a couple of other credit shops that went post up and failed miserably on there first time trying to make the transition.

Your not understanding what I am saying here. I am nowhere near a software developer, I barely can use a computer. I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and spent time locked up as a youth and adult. It makes no difference what background you have. You are missing the point and it doesn't matter if you get it or not. I am not judging him on that. As I said he might not even be American and as far as I know he could be learning English. I am sure someone on this forum will understand what I was meant.

Okay, that's a good explanation. I do think it would serve you and your business to keep it professional, even when you feel you're being personally attacked. It's hard, I'm sure, but emotion is the last thing most of us want to see from book managers. It gives the impression that you're under stress, whether it's the case or not.

Having a link on your site to the SBR dispute form is an excellent idea. Knowing a book is committed to resolving SBR disputes goes a long ways toward credibility.
