Germany - Turkey in game thread
20 minutes to kickoff. Just an impression from Germany. The streets were nearly empty for the last two hours. I guess most of you Americans don`t understand what the success of the national team in soccer means. We are so proud of our team. There are 500.000 people watching the match at a public viewing in Berlin. There are tens of thousand watching the match in every bigger German city. We are so hyped at the moment. You see people wearing the national shirt or walking along the streets with german flaggs in every street. You guys have football but you don`t have any sports event were you stand united behind your team. I feel sorry for you that you will never ever understand what that means.
Go Germany. I will be back at halftime.

Intertops must be one of the worst books ever. Looking at their props they got Germany to score -2000 and Germany not to score +285. over 1700 in juice, what a joke.  Jazz is so much better they got Germany to advance -450 and Turkey to advance +410, very low juice. Intertops has -625 and +350, juice to the ceiling. |

Sounds like great fun mate. I hear you with the sense of nationalism. I like tennis for that reason too, not because I support any particular American player, but just how each player is representative of their country and commonly referred to as such. i.e. "The Spaniard", "The American".

Well, a horrible performance by our team. We have serious problems with the system Turkey plays (the same Croatia used). Thanks god we have Poldi and Schweini. However Turkey will get serious problems in the last twenty minutes. They can`t keep that pace. I expect Loew make the right adjustments at ht and we will see a different team in the second half.
