sportsbook/poker site for sale on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/Established-Poke...QQcmdZViewItem
seems sorta cheap?
how much startup money would someone need to take over a new operation like this? 1 mil..2 mil..more?
just asking out of pure curiosity and interest. Although there's noway I'll be able to ever do anything like that(especially since i don't plan on leaving the states anytime soon)..it's kinda fun to dream to dream of being/ owning a successful sportsbook.

what would we do with it? turn around and sell it to another sportsbook?
There's too many questions i think with this. why so cheap? would you get the current player's current funds(i'm guessing you would but it doesn't say)
It probably takes about 3 million maybe a little less(if you had low limits on everything) to run something like this and not have to worry about players not getting their money. I'm wondering why it's saying on the page "all you have to do is market it"
..yeah...and kick in a few mill to finance it, hire people, maintain the website, keep up licenses/taxes etc

Pump Poker was/is a Betcorp site. In fact I've just looked and the Betcorp banner is there.
Are they going down the FutureBet route of selling an affiliate package to anyone who can come up with a few thousand dollars?
Anyone from SBR know the story on this?

you'd think they would make a bigger profit just keeping it as is.
really and i would think 12,000 is a drop in the bucket for betcorp.

The person that owns pumppoker mother in law had a stroke. She lost all movement on her left side. His wife not taken it to well. So he decided to let it go and a few other sites.
Betcorp is nothing like furturebet. they have been running clones for a while with no problem. Betcorp handles all the payouts and collection of money.
$5,000 investment up front was paid for betcorp to handle, back end
$4,000 for design, banners and add space
So you off to a good start
customer base so you can market to
Also banners included
Betcorp will work with u with promotions.
You take over the two year contract, its up to you to market it
The tracking and reporting features are real time with 100% accuracy including complete access to your players information (name, e-mail, phone number, etc.) and betting patterns.

thanks Damian for the info,
so say if someone won the auction..betcorp would still handle the payouts and collection of money? what about customer service as well?
i'm confused to how this would be run/work. what else would be necessary?

betcorp will run collection of money, payouts(which are fast)and customer service
All you have to do is market it.
If you want want special promotions you have to get it approved thru betcorp. (which is not hard you have to fund it with your money)
You get all the customers information, you can market to them any time.

so basically if you win the auction you pay the auction price, costs for special promotions/other marketing costs. when you say take over the contract? is that a contract that's a % of revenue or a sort of flat rate that has or has not already been paid?
I have some interest. 12,000 would not be a problem to gather up but I'm interested in knowing all of the other costs to be expected.

The contract is for two years, you have to stay under betcorp company.
It comes with a customer base of players.
Make sure you have marketing money that is the key. Space was been paid for two forums already. any more information email manager@pumppoker.com or pm me

Be careful, presley177. If you are interested then you should go to Betcorp directly and find out the cost of buying an affiliate scheme directly from them.
I would guess that Damian has a vested interest in PumpPoker so I really wouldn't trust his posts (and knowing a little more about his background, I'd trust him even less).
1) In an earlier post he listed it as his second favourite sportsbook.
2) He seems to know an awful lot about the sportsbook - reasons for sale etc.
3) It's the main forum sponsor on his website.
4) He asked you to contact him directly for information about the site.
Buyer beware and all that.

tacomax,
Also pump is not the main sponsor, we have over 10 sponsors and nine.com is the main sponsor at the movement, then vip sports
what you know about my back ground. You dont know shit.
I dont cheat people. I dont have too. I own a real estate company that makes me good money.
Betcorp not going to give u clients. Pump comes with clients with a site and the backing of a good company. So what the problem.
Also the buyer will work with betcorp. nothing funny going on

I went to your site and, under sponsors on the left hand side PumpPoker is at the top of the list. It is also on one of the two main banners at the top. If having the two top positions on your website doesn't constitute a main sponsor then my apologies to you.

I've read a lot of things about you over a number of years. And none of it was good. I can only speak as I find. Maybe everyone has got it wrong and you're a really good person.

I didn't say there was a problem. I was saying that you're offering advice on PumpPoker when you seem to have a vested interest in the operation. I was making presley177 aware of this.

I tell the truth, somepeople cant take it. I have close to 2500 people on my site. i have 3000 people listen to my ebonic reports. So i must be the man people love to hate. I gave presley my number. I will tell him in detail anything he wants about pumppoker to the point who owns what.
this is a good deal
customer base
good company backing betcorp
the site is already ready to go
banners
and add space paid on other forums
All you need is money to market it.
