As in easy to handicap or for enjoyment of the surroundings ?

Years ago Hialea Park in Miami was awesome as far as handicapping I like Delaware Park.

Del Mar

been there for a opening day

AND

2 pacific classics

I seen war emblem run off the board when came home and mike smith won

and I seen julie krones last mount when she won with candy ride

actually being there is something I cant explain...it something you should experience before you leave this place....seriously

the beer is cold...the women are HOT...the weather is perfect

and we had a RV parked on the backside cause we know one of the ticket writers and she gets us a pass every year

we ate breakfast in the jockeys room and I played pool with joe steiner and david flores

opening day is only like 2 week away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Del Mar is the best track to go by far on the West Coast.

One time I plan to take a vacation to Saratoga though. Saratoga has some unbelievable horse racing.

This is the one big downside, pretty disgusting takeouts. At least they no longer charge for parking or admission.

Oaklawn in Hot Springs (only horsetrack I've ever been to). I went one time during live racing and won 200 bucks, so I guess I'm the only horsetrack degen that's up for his career .

I know it says one, but the tracks switch every day. Any of the Australian tracks because the prices that win on occassion are ridiculous.

The most ridiculous prices anywhere have to be at Sha-Tin racecourse in Hong Kong.

20 horse fields are not uncommon.

Um, I'll take a $1 tri-box 14 17 19

Back in the mid 1990's I was in BC and would make the trip to Cloverdale, they used to race a mile & 1/16th so the outside horses could get a good start, the gate took off at the top of the half mile stretch so horses had the entire stretch to clear on the front end if they had post 7.

Bill Davis was top driver (still is), with Ed Hensley a distant second, Hensley is back driving in California at Cal Expo.

I also remember talking to Bill Keeling out there, one of the owners at the time, he was previosly part owner of Orangeville raceway in Ontario and bought Cloverdale.

The race caller back then was/is still Rick Uppal.

"eight on the gate, one a little late"

LOL!
