Exclamation NFL's Javon Walker Robbed in Las Vegas

Quote:
Story

A police spokesman in Las Vegas said Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was found unconscious on a Las Vegas street early yesterday after he apparently was the victim of a robbery.

Police spokesman Bill Cassell said in a statement that Walker was taken to a hospital with "significant injuries" after being found on a street off the Las Vegas Strip.

Cassell said Walker remained in fair condition at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center last night.

A Raiders spokesman said the team was "in the process of gathering information" and had no further comment.
I thought football players were tough guys?

Done.

Anyone else see anything on just exactly what his injuries are? Only thing I've read up to now is he was found unconscious.

I think another press release will come within the next day or so, at least I am expecting it to. Hopefully he's not too banged up, honestly I'm not even sure what an orbital injury would be, something in the jaw?

I googled orbital bones and apparently an art exhibit came up to explain this.

Default Javon aint too bright and trouble seems to follow him around.

When he played for the Packers he scored really low on an intelligence test that the teams give during the draft.Right off hand I can't think of the name of the test because with all this IQ stuff and betting math theories they all sound like Briggs and Straton or Massengail douche.hehe!

Wasn't Walker the main cog in the wheel when the Denver Bronco team mate of his was murdered?

It showed him hanging out at the Palms top floor exclusive dance club on tv one time when he was a Packer and he had his Packers jersey on.Hmmmm,do you think this guy likes to attract attention where bad guys get their fill of him showing off?

Hahahaha. You so crazy! He got smacked in the temple, broke a bone or two around his eye. It sounds more serious than it is. Heals just like any other broken bone.

I keep thinking how lucky the Packers were to get a 2nd rounder for this guy!

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Norm Clarke, Walker was seen Saturday night at Tryst at the Wynn spraying the crowd with some of the 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered.Clarke also said Walker was at Body English at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino until 6:30 a.m. Monday and that his first round of champagne cost him $15,000.

It's clear what happened here.

Al Davis finally came to his senses and mugged back the $55M he gave him.

This shows that the Raiders will be a bad team until Al Davis dies.

They have so many cameras these days...outside and inside. It won't be long before the detectives piece those videos together and find the other "brothers" that got him.

Looks like a good place to a) get some crack and b) get really f*cked up if you were spraying champagne on people earlier.

Was Floyd Mayweather involved?

Quote:
Walker: The "Real" Story

Posted today at 11:07 am by Mike Seely

While investigators and Oakland team officials work to piece together who was responsible for Raider wideout Javon Walker getting the consciousness beat out of him the other night, I'm going to go ahead and share an account of what allegedly happened from a friend of a friend who knows a bartender who works with another bartender who was in Vegas with Walker the night of his assault (in other words, assign as much credibility to this unsubstantiated account as you see fit; and I'm not naming certain names because I don't have time to substantiate it myself): "My friend who bartends at this one L.A. strip join told me that Javon Walker's best friend works as a bartender there as well, and Javon normally comes in twice a week. Walker's friend asked my buddy to bartend for him Sunday night, telling him he was going to Vegas with Walker. Yesterday, my bartender friend sees the ESPN report where Walker got beaten up and figures his bartending partner was with Walker and was worried he might be laying dead somewhere. He calls into the strip joint where they work and asks the GM if his bartending partner has called in yet. He says that he did and was OK, but was with Javon in Vegas on Sunday night."

"Evidently, Walker was at a club drinking and a well-known boxer (Update: Spy On Vegas' party roundup puts Floyd Mayweather at the scene, so yeah, that's who our tipster's talking about here) was at another table. Walker ordered 5 bottles of Vodka, so the boxer orders 10 bottles of vodka trying to one-up him. Walker then orders another 5 bottles for his entourage. Evidently, both groups were pretty hammered and words were exchanged. When Walker leaves to go back to their hotel, they are followed by some chick. Walker jumps out of the cab at the traffic light and gets in with the chick following behind. That was the last they saw of Walker. Evidently, another vehicle was following behind the chick and ran the chick off the road and beat the heck out of Walker. Reports haven't been released that the boxer was involved, so we'll see what transpires. As you know, the boxer lives in Vegas and it's his town. His thugs probably beat the heck out of [Walker] and stole his watch and wallet, making it look like a robbery. They left him in some alley. They say Walker may never play again as his face sustained multiple fractures."

LAS VEGAS AP

Quote:
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was "quickly recovering" following hospitalization for a concussion and facial injuries after a Las Vegas robbery.

Walker was released from a hospital, and his agent released a statement Wednesday in which the 29-year-old Walker thanked those who offered prayers and support.

Walker was found unconscious early Monday on a street near the Las Vegas Strip after a night of partying during which he was photographed spraying a nightclub crowd with champagne.

Agent Kennard McGuire said Walker was "recovering in a private environment." An aide to McGuire, of MS World in Richmond, Texas, declined to say where Walker was staying.

"Javon looks forward to getting back to his family and teammates," the statement said, "and is looking forward to the start of the upcoming season."

Police Lt. Clinton Nichols said a large amount of cash and some jewelry were taken from Walker.

Nichols said Tuesday that detectives planned to interview Walker before his release from the hospital about his activities in the hours before he was robbed. Nichols did not immediately return messages left Wednesday.

Default Another update, Javon story has holes

Quote:
Las Vegas Journal

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was seen entering a car under his own power at the Bellagio the morning he was found beaten and unconscious, it was learned Friday.

Metro police have surveillance tape of Walker going to the car, and it doesn't match the abduction story he told a Web site Tuesday, the source said.

It does not appear on the tape that Walker is being coerced, the source said.

Bill Cassell, spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department, said he could not comment beyond saying that there is an ongoing investigation.

Walker was found in a pool of blood around 7:30 a.m. Monday about a block east of Las Vegas Boulevard. The Hard Rock Hotel has confirmed Walker left Body English nightclub sometime after 3 a.m., after spraying clubgoers with champagne.

Walker also was seen at an after-party in the Hard Rock's penthouse suite.

A Hard Rock public relations representative said the hotel had no information on when Walker left the property.

"I was just back at my room, and at about 5:30 in the morning," Walker told TheDirty.com, "I got a knock at the door. I opened it, and three guys with guns were there. They cracked me in the head a few times, knocking me unconscious. They then robbed me of everything I had; my watch, money, everything. Somehow they got me to a car and dropped me off in the street. That's what happened."

Nik Richie, who reported the abduction story on his Web site, TheDirty.com, confirmed in an interview with Vegas Confidential that he talked to Walker on Tuesday, the day after the alleged incident.

"He's a good friend of mine," Richie said in a telephone interview from Scottsdale, Ariz.

Richie said he called Walker to see how he was doing and the former NFL All-Pro wideout agreed to talk about what happened on one condition: Walker wanted to shoot down the rumors, Richie said, that the champagne spraying had created issues with boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was with his entourage at a nearby table at Body English.

"That's why he agreed to talk," Richie said.

Walker, who suffered a moderate concussion, a broken eye socket and other facial injuries, was released from Sunrise Hospital on Wednesday. He had been found in a driveway at the Summer's Bay Resort on Winnick Avenue and Koval Lane.

Walker's abduction story has been met with skepticism, given the 2,000 video surveillance cameras in the Bellagio, including valet areas, elevators, elevator lobbies and public lobbies.
Maybe $ May's posse smacked him up after all?

I live in Vegas and hear about this type of thing happening to guys all the time on the strip in the early morning. Hookers often drive around the strip and try to lure guys into their car. They usually work in teams. While one of them takes off his pants and performs oral on him, the other "looks for a condom" or just rifles through his pants while he's distracted and robs him of his cash and valuables. My theory is that he got into a hooker's car. They either recognized him or he said who he was, the hookers brought him to their pimps place, and they assaulted and robbed him, dumping him off where he was found. I really doubt Mayweather was involved in it. It sounds like a classic hooker robbery to me. He probably doesn't want that kind of publicity. I think that's why they aren't releasing much information about it and there is so much speculation and conflicting stories.
