Thats a good point. i didn't even see that until I looked at it again. I know they made some revisions with who is on the comittee and all of that.
Could this be the beginning where they try to build this up to make it the #1 tournament like it was back when sports never happened in the 50's? I say this because the top seeds are playing I think it was on the Saturday of the 2nd rounds at 11 when I beleive the NCAA starts the 2nd round on noon.
I don't see how the NIT gets much ratings anyway. because the best teams in it don't give it all they have because they just had the letdown of being left out of the real tourney and nobody cares much about the smaller schools that knew they were going here anyway.
I remember last year when IU got left out, got a home NIT game against Vandy, and no one showed up. Usually there are always sell outs and then the team didn't give 2 sh its and got blown out.
