Default Celtics +6.5 in Game 5 in LA

Any thoughts?

ML is +250.

Thinking of following the 4/4 spread covering pattern with my celtcs.

I don't know if the Lakers have the heart. What happens if they're down 5-10 by halftime? I mean hell, if a 21pt lead isn't safe, I don't know that they'll be confident enough to get it done, unless they adopt some "nothing to lose" attitude.

gotta go Boston ML here. If not for a poor game by Pierce in game 3, this would have been a sweep. Lakers are just to overmatched.

I actually am liking the Lakers in this game to cover that number. I just hope they don't burn me like they did last night.

It all depends on David Stern! If he fixes the game, the Lakers win because he wants a long series. If he doesn't fix it, then the Celtics win.

Right now it appears that he won't fix the game because the whole world and the FBI are watching the games carefully. But I would wait unti Sunday afternoon to see who are the referees for the game. One of Stern's fixers is that bald Ref, Crawford who didn't call the foul on Derek Fisher when he fouled Brent Barry at the end of that Spurs/Lakers game. If he refs the game on Sunday, take the Lakers

dan, the play is either boston +6.5 or no play at all, absolutely no consideration should be given to the lakers laying pts, even if they cover the 6.5, it will be a bad pick that happened to cash, remember, there are good picks that lose, and bad picks that win, the lakers will be a bad pick, believe me, Sir

I think this is the Lakers best chance of covering a game in this series, That said, I don't know if I will have a play on this game.

I'm up in the air on this one....however, I really think the celtics close this out...Lakers are pathetic, have no heart or passion...match that up with kobe trashing his teammates...I'm thinking the rest of the team will quit...Easy Celtic cover

Every game is "the game the Lakers should cover" in this series.

Lakers win because Celtics would rather win at home and celebrate.

bbyhill, why would they do that? Do you think they would purposely miss an opportunity to close this out in game 5, just to win at home in game 6? What happens if Garnett snaps his ankle in the 1st quarter of game 6? Or Pierce breaks his wrist? C'mon. If the Celtic's can close this in game 5, they will. There will be plenty of time to celebrate in Boston after the fact.

Disagree greatly, Imgv, but that's why they call it gambling.

Why don't you mortgage all your houses and bet them on Celtics being champs? 0-28 when a team is 1-3.

Stay away. If Boston goes down double digits they wont fight nearly as hard since they are up 3-1. Up 2-1 it was a different story.

Doc Rivers will not let this team lay down

Well because say Lakers win so we are at 3-2

Now they go back to Boston and steal game 6

3-3

Anything can happen in game 7

right now the celts are rested and if you (kg, ray, paul) can smell it why would you prolong the wait, the wait that lasted for so long and why would you let it slip away when it is right in front of you. it would not matter if it's at the road or at home since they are not MJ (the only one who in my opinion has the right to wear 23) that can control a game and win even with minimal help.

given that, celts will grab hold of the opportunity to win it all especially when there wouldno longer be any "learnings" if they loose. so bos +points is good

It's a coin flip

The ML in this game should be -110

Spread should be PK

So if you're getting +260 on a coin flip you should take celtics ML

And if you're laying -300 on Lakers ML, you're crazy

I would like lakers to take game 5 just to make the series a little more interesting and for boston to win at home.
