A chalky tennis play for Tuesday morning
Bare with me- this is a big price to lay, but in tennis I think for every value packed dog, whether big or little, there are other instances or plays which a bigger price is warranted. Never risk what you can't afford to lose.
Fernando Gonzalez -610
vs Richard Bloomfield
Tennis Record (The Artois Championship R1)
0-0 (0.00)
*results for French Open were fairly decent, but I am starting from scratch as to not get complacent, will likely track results tournament to tournament to keep myself fresh. I will keep a log of all results and update the most recent in my sig*

Thanks fellas, I won't edit my original post, but this play is to win 1.5 units. Somehow in typing I forgot that part.
Fearless, because with our 1 unit risk cap it wouldn't do me much good IMO, I will update my selections tomorrow with likely some bases.

Thanks bud, IMO I feel this will be a straight set victory, Gonzo gave Federer a run for his $$ and his opponent is simply overmatched here. Bloomfield is not in the same league experience wise, rankings, talent, simply no edge here for him. If Gonzo is to falter, I feel it will be a fairly big choke job.

First off, will Gonzo win this match?I would say about a 90% chance. He is the better player of course. Problem is that there is alot of chalk on this bet and the tournament is not a big tournament so a player will not give it 110% all of the time. To risky for me.
Plus, isn't this tournament a grass court tournament??If it is, Gonzo is not a grass court player.I follow tennis though alot and I haven't even heard of the guy he is playing though so you SHOULD be safe with this bet but there are probably better bets to make out there then this.
Just playing the devil's advocate here...

Devils advocate is more than welcome, I like to hear the other side too. You're right it is a grass court tournament, and yeah the motivation doesn't figure to be the same as if you're playing Roger Federer at RG. Those things already factor into this line though IMO.
I still don't think this will be all that close. There's really no advantage Bloomfield has, he doesn't have the talent, experience, really no accomplishments at all to even be mentioned in the same sentence. Crazier things have happened but I'm not banking on that here.
Gonzo 2-0.

bloomfield has home support since he's english -
But he is weak indeed.
As for all of you that never heard about him, make a search about bloomfield suspicious tennis match betfair and you'll get that he had a fixed match at wimbledon some years ago
