Default When will odds makers start respecting the patriots?

Pats kill the spread week in and week out. Is it because they dont have a star player? I dont get it. If the yankees or Lakers or Bulls were doing this the spread would be untouchable for the fav each time. But with this team its always a 1 or 2 score spread. Help me on this.

Id start changing the line myself but my guys at the plant all plan to bet the line somewhere near what it is in the paper. I can add a half point on every 3 but I want to add 6 ****in points!!

The Patriots are not nearly the public team that everyone thinks they are. They get very little respect from the linesmakers and the books will soon start paying for it.

I think it's too early to give it to the Pats. They didn't look unbeatable by any means. If Oakland hits that FG we might not see this thread.

New England looked a little sloppy on offense, Dillon making mistake not running out of bounds.

Defense would have given up 50 last night to the Colts in the Dome.

I'm not saying they won't have good betting value, but they will need to improve to beat the better teams in the NFL.

It's not a matter of giving them respect...it's a matter of creating a line that attracts equal attention. Trust me, it's all going to even out in the end. In the end, the linesmaker is going to get the last laugh one way or another.

Like Bill said, the Pats looked very beatable yesterday and it's only a matter of time for that to happen.

I agree the Pats are good but with all do respect the Raiders gave that game away last night, I don't know about winning but they sure should have covered. The Raiders continue to be the least intelligent team with the least amount of discipline.

Brick should just hang his own line on it and tell his buddies to take it or leave it. Online books have to work with what oddsmakers give them but a private book can put out whatever he wants without worrying about the move backfiring.
