No Air Conditioning
Where do I go to stay cool? Going to be tough to post much today until sun goes down. Man being broke is not fun. Can anyone loan me an AC unit??

Coach, go to Craig's List - someone there is almost always giving away an air conditioning unit.
Or, do what I did 30 yrs ago, move the hell out of the NY/NJ area and come to Calif. (Temps in the 60s, low 70s yesterday, nr the coast, and no humidity) No, the Golden State ain't that golden any more, nor that cheap, not like it was when I first got here. And gas is more expensive than NJ, and in facct is among the highest in the country.
But still better than where you are

Most houses where I live do not have AC. It does not get that hot. I remember having to have it when I lived in Illinois. I used to hate those hot and humid days!

Soaking them for 60 seconds in cold water does the trick as well.
Just fill up a cup with water, and a couple of cubes - works like a dream.
