BetUS -- the real story -- Thieves and Liars!
To elaborate a bit on the facts you’ve heard so far...BetUS is up to their old tricks again. They have not only stolen my money, but are now outright lying about the whole situation.
I signed up with them in the middle of November and went on a bad losing streak. Shockingly, they treated me like gold, offering me better bonuses etc. One of the head supervisors there – Craig – assured me that the silver lining to my losses was the “gamblers insurance” they offer after football season, which is calculated as your net losses from sign up until the day after superbowl. As of the February 7th (day after superbowl) I was down approximately 15,000. I had numerous conversations with Craig and he assured me that I would be getting that gamblers insurance back. Though they normally credit the account at the end of February, he tried to get it for me right after the bowl, but was unsuccessful. Knowing that I had 1500 dollars coming back to me, I asked him and a few others to confirm that my play for the rest of the month would not affect this rebate and he said “of course not – your insurance amount is SET IN STONE.”
I reloaded my account and went on a little win streak, winning back most of my original losses. Suddenly (now that I was winning) they started treating me like garbage – limiting my bets etc. I guess that’s what you guys might expect from D rated book, but I was totally misled and thought they were the exception to the rule!!
To make a long story short, I called in at the end of February and they refused to give me the promised insurance. Craig got on the phone and laughed in my face saying there is no way in hell they would give me money back when I won the money back a few weeks after the superbowl. I said but the cut off time for this was superbowl, and you said it didn’t matter what happens after and he laughed in my face and hung up the phone. I called back and spoke to Dave Johnson (real head guy there from what they told me initially) and he too laughed and said there is no was I am giving you any money back. He then suspended my wagering and effectively closed my account and of course hung up in my face also. I called back and told Dave that he is stealing my money and I also had loyalty points which can be redeemed for free play money that he stole from my account and he again hung up.
I ASK THAT BETUS PULL THE TAPES OF THESE CONVERSATIONS SO I CAN SHOW THE GAMBLING WORLD WHAT KIND OF BOOK THEY REALLY ARE.
I must have had at least 10 conversations about the gamblers insurance and if you guys could hear even one, you would see that they are straight out lying when they sau they never promised it to me. They also say that my brother was in the book playing as well and we were in kahutz. That is the most absurd claim of them all. I specifically mentioned that my brother is also a gambler to Dave Johnson in January and he said bring him in to the book – we welcome him. I know some books have problems with brothers being there but he said no way – in fact well give you a 15% referral bonus which they did (PRODUCE THE TAPES!!)!! Now they come along and say we cant both be in the book???
I CAHLLENGE YOU BETUS TO PULL UP OUR BETTING HISTORIES AND CONFIRM THAT WE NEVER BET ON THE SAME GAME ON YOUR SITE.
Dave jonson admitted to me that he looked at the logs and he was actually surprised that with all the betting we do, we never bet on the same game!! Now, they are using this as an excuse to not pay me – that is the definition of a thief and liar.
Sorry guys this has been so long, but I feel like you all need to know the truth about this book. And now for the kicker...After this whole debacle I spoke with Mike Foreman who is rumored to be a great guy there who really cares about the player. So I figured I’ll give it one last shot. I told him the whole story and he replied,
“WOW I CANT BELIEVE THIS WAS DONE TO YOU. I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH WHAT YOU ARE SYAING AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TO THE MONEY”.
(those weren’t exact words, but extremely close to what I remember he said). He met with some head people there, and called me back 20 minutes later apologizing profusely and sympathizing with me but said unfortunately, he is just a clerk there and cant overrule the higher powers. He said he was really sorry and cant believe this was done to me, he "personally would never have done something like that to a player in his book, let alone a vip player such as myself."
So I ask betus to get the tapes and the betting logs and then we will really see who is lying and stealing here!!! I STILL HOLD OUT THAT GLIMMER OF HOPE THAT BETUS HAS AT LEAST ONE HONEST AND REPUTABLE PERSON WHO WILL STEP UP AND ADMIT FAULT AND APOLOGIZE AND CREDIT ME THE MONEY I DESERVE. AM I JUST BEING NAÏVE????????!!!!!!!!!

Post this at MajorWager. Otherwise he will accuse this thread of being a conspiracy to smear the sportsbooks he promotes.
I have warned people to stay away from these crooks but some people are stubborn. The fools do not realize that the bonus gets stolen if you win.

Unfortunately, not much good news to update on yet...I have yet to see a dime!!
Bill has spoken to BetUS and they assure him that they are "looking into the matter".
It seems that SBR has 3 current issues pending with them at the moment that have yet to be resolved. Let's see if Mike Foreman can finally step up and right these wrongs.

If you opened the account in November then you don't qualify for GI, you must be active for at least 6 months in order to collect gamblers insurance.
The bottom line here is they paid up, gave you higher bonuses then you were entitled too and even lowered your role over so you could pull the money out.

Very strong views there ... to the point it made you join up ... and extremely well informed about the minor details of the individual case as well. Presumably you are just a delighted customer??
So the this bookie's lying isnt restricted to winning customers but you have also brought a sample to this forum.

I thought this book may be a turn around story but not to be. As far as a reputation goes among other bookmakers here in Costa Rica this BetUS group is the bottom of the barrel. How about the year they lost $1.1 million playing teasers with their clients money and went straight into slow pay mode? Great guys...

Business as usual in Shadyville: "TOW upgrades BetUS from 4 to 7" Huh? We have had 3 serious confiscation cases in the past 4 days and tow(cha-ching) upgrades them from thief status to almost equal to Olympic! Unreal.
For you new posters be very careful who's advice you trust or you could be our next confiscation case and we got all we can handle right now.

TC2001 -- who the hell are you and why are you lying about my situation? First get the facts straight, then come back and post. I never claimed to have been gambling for 6 months -- I said the supervisors assured me repeatedly that I would qualify for insurance becuase I was such a VIP player (aka I was down lots to them) and now that I won some back they go back on that stipulation.
Santo -- I'm not sure if you were referring to me or one of the other countless people who were screwed by BetUS...but as for me, I have received nada as of yet.

oh, you can believe it, BetUS has been stealing back bonus money for years. They are crooks.
I am not surprised TOW upgraded BetUS as players left and right are being robbed by them. They guy running that dump site has zero credibility. He does have bad timing does'nt he? Still laughing at his post at The RX stating Richcoast sports was in his top 5 sportsbooks for fastest payouts, in the class of Pinnacle. Richcoast sports went  up 5 days after his post.

Santo thats the way Roberto operates; He sees a complaint on SBR and calls BetUS who he is now all buddy-buddy with. They trade a tearful "SBR is so bad!" scammer-binding moment. Then BetUS tells him they stole the bonus but SBR is making them give it back. TOW then announces he got the player paid. This scenario plays out all the time and its fine with us.

my point is merely this -- you say that you upgraded betus becuase they have paid all outstanding debts and have no outstanding complaints pending? but here you have it. I have yet to see a dime and it has been a long long time since this fiasco started...
