Don't look at Myers YTD numbers, becasue he had a tough time at first going back to starting after being the closer last year. He is just now starting to return to the type of pitcher he was in his very good rookie year, and he was dominant after the first inning in his last start, finishing with 11 Ks in eight innings.
It happens every year? He hasn't pitched in more than 8 games in a season before this year. Can't really say that it happens every year when the guy has already thrown twice as many innings as in any previous year. Volquez is surely the better starter right now.Originally Posted by ryanXL977

Myers matched him though. Unforunately for me, it was the Reds that broke through in the late innings. Congrats to Reds backers.

it's funny that Myers almost pitched a no-no cuz I played MLB 2k8 yesterday and no joke pitched a perfect game with Myers against this guy online who was the reds. The only difference was that he used Arroyo instead of Volquez.
