In the thread about the number of picks, I think we came up with a good solution:

How about if you can increase your max number of picks to 5 once in each round? You have to pick your day at the start of the round so there's no cheating with it.

So, the limit is still three but you get a one day exemption each round to increase the limit to five. The key is that you have to pick the day before the round starts. I think it's fair. It won't have any effect on traffic or dramatic impact. This rule change would only make the competition more realistic and again that's necessary to decide who the best capper is, imho.
